Completionist Woes: Start Over Character for EXO Grimiore

Delete Hunter and Redo with EXO

Delete Warlock, Create/Delete EXO & Restart Awoken

Skip the Grimoire Card

Character customization is the bane of my existence. I think I end up spending twenty to thirty minutes trying to get a character right when I can choose different options. It's like my own private hell to have something that offers the option to tweak forehead and nose length. That being said, I have always been a completionist at heart and the idea that I missed a Grimoire because I didn't choose EXO for a class has been bugging me more and more. Currently I have three classes, all level 28/29 with both sub classes maxed. I chose two Humans (titan and Hunter) and one Awoken (Warlock). Now for the waffling part. I've never been fond of my Hunter's look, which is why I was going to chose her. Originally it was going to be my Warlock (primary character) for a quick redo, delete and then back to the Awoken with a different color blue for the eyes (currently rocking the Queen's blue and it's just too light for me). I'd literally pay to redo her eyes, since that's the only thing about her that I dislike. Any fellow completionists out there that can relate? Would you skip the card or redo one for it?

  • Dude. It's so true. I would make a character and then delete him after playing for a couple minutes cause he just didn't look good. Deleted a level 17 warlock cause he was ugly too. Which...is why I like exos. It's harder to go wrong with a robot. I don't know.

  • I'm confused on how you spend so much time on character customization in this game. GW2 has soooo many more options than this game and I spend maybe that at the most and I really care about how my character looks

    • I would personally skip the Grimoire card. With helmets on most of the time you, and everyone else, can’t see what you don’t like about your character. You have also put in a bunch of effort into allowing yourself to be fully versatile in this game. Need a Defender for the Raid – you’re good Sunsinger to help solo Nightfall – check Sick of Bladedancers that dance for an hour straight – hack into their X1, find their ip address, locate their house, hack into the energy grid, send a massive electrical feed back, ONLY TO THEIR HOUSE, so that all of their electronics are fried. Oh wait, the last one is just a dream I had last night. A beautiful . . . glorious dream. If your completionist side takes over, delete the Hunter. NEVER delete your main. What will you do when you are having issues that you would normally bust out your main for and now it is not leveled? You will cry and wish that eye color wasn’t that important to you. I can’t imagine redoing my ‘Lock, even if I forgot to change to the correct eye color. Come to think of it, the facial tattoo is the wrong color as well. Exactly how long would it take to re--- NOPE not gonna do it!

      • Buy all Cryptarch gear.(Yes Cryptarch gear) Spend the last of your marks. Change ALL pieces of armor to Crypatarch gear then place ALL weapons and other stuff you would want to keep into your vault. Upgrade materials, ascendant material, sapphire wire/hadronic essence, shaders, ships, etc. Just delete your Hunter if it bothers you the most.

If you put your nose to the grindstone, you can be level 20 before you even reach Mars, and less than 5 hours

          • I deleted a 20 Awoken Titan to make a Exo Titan, simply for the fact I wanted to change the appearance and collect the card, as I had done something similar ( 2 Awoken, 1 Human). It took me around 12hrs to get to 20 again and put all the gear back on to get back to 29, I leveled defender side first, and now working on Striker just for the sake of it, as I never ever use striker.
