It seems like 80% of the time I'm killed by an enemy, it's from the use of heavy ammo, a Super, a shotgun, a fusion rifle, a random grenade or a Titan's one-hit-kill melee attack. It may be that I'm just not used to the many ways of gaining the advantage, I'm not sure, but I am having a rough time.
I feel as though finding success in Destiny's Crucible goes hand-in-hand with accepting the fact that you're going to have to play a certain way, because knowing the maps and being good with a controller, just doesn't cut it.
Bottom line: the Supers are too easy to acquire, heavy ammo almost always goes to the team who's already winning, and there are just too many ways for players to gain huge advantages over other players. We can't all use shotguns and fusion rifles. To me, Crucible feels a lot like the PVP in the Resistance series...and who's playing that right now?
On the other hand, maybe I just need a bit more practice. But I think my FPS skills, at the very least, are already pretty respectable.

This belongs in #Feedback or #Destiny If you require assistance in moving this thread, reply saying so. To answer your topic: I have acquired quite a bit of time using every tactic in Crucible except Pulse Rifles. On top of this, I have extensive playtime in FPSs of every kind. Destiny's style of gameplay is focused on the arms race of Supers and Heavies, and it is focused on making anything you use seem powerful. It does fall to the common mistake of Auto Rifles being the always best option, but it provides many other outlets for doing well. I, for one, find great success in Hand Cannons. If you find yourself being killed by powerful things most of the time, that is because players flock to easy power. Supers are easy to acquire, but they don't do a lot in the scheme of things as far as scores are concerned, and I too find my FPS skills very respectable but find no trouble in outplaying the lessers who only use a gun because it is an easy kill.
