Best New Member...

Yeah, so what. I'm bored. So... who do you think is the best, the most rule abiding, and the most helpful new member in the forums. (Only vote if you joined before October please. Otherwise, I still consider you a new member, and the participants, and participation is manditory, are not allowed to vote) I have to go with Tanikaze.

 • i heard tanikaze had an earlier account though, and this is his new one. that would explain the rule abidingness.

 • I can't even really think of any "new" members at the moment. Besides, why do you need to vote? Popularity contests always seem rather silly to me.

 • I'm going to back out of this topic before my head doubles in size and mass. By the way, I didn't read the rules with the old account. I just made one post because I needed help with the anti-aliasing issues on Halo PC, then I found out that I was going to have them unless I switched to 1600x1200 resolution. Something like that. • Meh... Most new members have yet to earn my respect. There's a few good ones, but for every one good member, there's 30 bad ones. Not being anti new memberish. Growth of the forum is good. But it only helps if they post well. Not just flaming or spamming.

 •
Posted by: MCs Brother Is anyone else having trouble seeing their posts?
Yes. That's from the enormous site traffic, and probably some serious forum bugs. They appear after a little while.

 •
Posted by: VexedDemon i'm a new member, but don't worry, i know how to not be stupid
You'll have to earn our respect. One way to do that is to capitalize correctly. I is always capitalized. Also, periods are used to end sentences.

 • I wish I knew what the forums were like in mid 2004. Probably like the English Countryside in the early nineteenth century. All civil and quiet. (Despite the bad teeth.) Now, Let me check; there is a thread about how Halo actually exists in real life (unlikely), a thread about Halo 2 being paramilitary propeganda (absurd at best), and one.. just been deleted, I see, about Bungie having 'relations' will barnyard animals (Not even going to bother arguing.) I wish I could honestly say these forums have gone to hell since I joined...for me, it has always been hell. :-(

 •
Posted by: VexedDemon Oh, I wasn't aware how grammar crazy ya'll were here. Ok then, I can do that.
Not to insult you or anything, but you may want to consult this. I have used it myself numerous times, and it is a very helpful grammar tool.

You'd be suprised at how annoying it is when you can't read someone's post because of their awful grammar. Your's was mostly fine, but it's a path that everyone should steer clear of.

 • i understand if their grammar makes no sense but i'm not gonna consult a guide each time i make a post on a forum. i think i'll just aim for understandable. i will, however, correct my mistakes [Edited on 11/24/2004 11:02:43 PM]

It's like Pringles; once you pop, you can't stop.

I'm just saying you should skim through some of the basics(or re-read your own post slowly), make sure you use commas, etc.
