I'm a very casual Destiny player and earlier I got my first ever purple heavy weapon engram. I joked to my friend that I'd get an exotic and he assured me that there is a really small chance to get an exotic from a purple engram. I have little experience with exotics and endgame content, so when I got Gjallarhorn from the Cryptarch, I was pretty dang happy. I've read that the percentage is usually around 1% chance that this could happen, but maybe I'm just misinformed. Anyone else get this lucky? Is this even something to be excited about in the first place?
