I wrote this for the Become Legend II project, and thought I would share this separately for those people who enjoy reading Shachal. This has been slightly edited, so while it's very similar to the entry in the Become Legend Volume II, it's not exactly the same. Shachal: Origins is a short story prequel to Shachal, but in a sense, more accurately classified as a pre-sequel. You don't have to wait to read this until Shachal's complete, but I would highly recommend that you at least read through Chapter 13 before reading this piece.
