Middle aged, job, family, life.
Enough disposable income that I don't cry if my $60 doesn't make all my dreams come true.
I wouldn't call myself casual - I play 20+ hours a week but I'm not playing all day every day.
This is why this game is perfect for people like me:
1. I don't care so much about story. Sure, a good story is cool but I'm more interested in game play and having fun.
2. I love the fact that there's a limit to how many bounties, marks, etc you can get in a week. There's always something to do when I log on but I don't feel like I have to play constantly to keep up with the hardcores.
3. I never played games on-line before and Destiny convinced me to start. I already have a small circle of on-line friends that is growing all the time.
4. I don't give a rats about PvP
5. I don't feel like there's a rush to get to lvl 30. I have been 28 for a while and haven't even really tried a raid yet. My goal is to get good at raids by the end of November so I can be close to 30 when the DLC drops.
6. The game is just plain fun to play. Sure It's repetitive but there's always something to work towards - and enough progress to keep it satisfying.
So if your young or unemployed and feel like you should be entitled to a game that you can play 10 hrs a day and never repeat anything I feel bad for you. This game wasn't made for you.
It was made for us.

The issue isn't with destiny at all, sure it has it's bugs. However the biggest issue is with all the self indulgent mamas boys, who think they deserve more than they get. And although they have never accomplished anything in life, still think they can do It better than Bungie..
