For as much hate that is levied at Bungie for the story and content the one thing nobody can argue is just how expansive of a world they've built for this game. It's cool to just explore and meander around the game without a purpose just to see what cool things you can find. This is why I have high hopes for the future of Destiny, do this and then imagine Bungie spending the next 10 years making content to fill these worlds you're exploring. This is why I have no qualms about the story as it stands now, there is enough world in this game that filling a quarter of it with more story and content (we've only seen less than 2 months of a 10 YEAR plan) will give us more than the majority of games out there.
