So the picture above is crota wearing a "lucky raspberry" exotic chest piece for the hunter. Meaning crota was a guardian at one point. Heres the proof... Look closely and you will see 3 glowing eyes in both this picture and the first photo I posted. Meaning they could be the same person. Heres more proof though. In the mission sword of crota the sword is to small for a large boss (Imagine phogoth swinging around a toothpick) its a perfect fit for a gaurdian. also its a melee weapon and hunters have a special that focuses on swinging a blade around.
