That is all. No more just buying exotics or just finding them. The only way to get them is through the bounty. That way we can look in awe at someone who has a exotic, because we know EXACTLY what went into getting it, not that they got lucky with RNG. RNG away with the legendaries, its a decent system. But the exotics have such cool and unique stories, they should each have exotic bounties that tell you their story. Edit: Each exotic should an NPC related to the exotics story that you run across at some point during the bounty. Edit2: While I came to this idea on my own, others have also been saying it, probably before me (iamthevvolf for one) Edit 3: Awesome idea from xjayEra where you would do certain things during the game (kill a certain number of enemies within a certain time limit, etc) that would trigger a "tip" from an NPC about this exotic weapon or gear. Edit 4: A lot of complains about PVP in bounties. Possible solution: some bounties are PVP only, some are PVE only, and some are both. That way everyone is happy, and your exotic would also show what type of play you were best at. Edit 5: This change could be for upcoming exotics, and Xur could continue selling his current stock as is if people would prefer. Though I would gladly trade my exotic for a bounty to get the same one again. (yea I know this disagree's with the title, but hey).
