So I'm at a 3-day offsite work event, we're on lunch hour, and I'm browsing these forums. A guy from my building who's also at the offsite walks by and whispers, "Great game." I look up, surprise. He points at the "DESTINY" logo and repeats, "Great game. I'm totally addicted." I grin and say, "Me too!" Unfortunately he's on 360 and I'm on PS3/PS4, but it's so good to hear positive words from another player.
Those who get it really get it. The awesome isn't that hard to find. You just have to appreciate it when you find it.

Some people are very easily pleased. If your happy with a half assed story and grinding the same strikes or missions over and over, and randomly being kicked from the servers when going for a 'no death run' on the VoG - then you crack on son. I very much doubt you will still have the same opinion in 6 weeks time

It is a good game just idling waiting for the first DLC.
-
you can't be more right then that i see what this game is and for what it is here and now its a damn good game bungie brought us a great game haters going to hate
-
Those that bitch, forum. Those that don't, play the game.
-
some people are addicted to cigarettes. cigarettes are horrible. destiny has been the waste of time waiting for better games to release.
-
the game is great.... it does have an MMO cycle, even thoe its not an mmo and people need to get this.... you rush to be the first done your gonna be left doing nothing and feeling left out till the next dlc

People really need to learn to ignore hype for videogames. I did with Destiny and I love it. I don't need a story to give me a reason to go shoot things that are shooting at me. This game has more content than CoD/BF/and Titanfall out of the box and we aren't even to the dlc yet. Just a few more days until CoD takes away a lot of the children screaming on these forums.

All the people who comment about how much Destiny sucks really love the forums.

Amen, brother! Just today I was exploring my way around the heroic daily story to find a gold chest and another dead ghost. I enjoy taking my time to find these things on my own, and the casualness I can play this. It's ideal for my lifestyle! :-)

1.Get some friends 2.Do strikes and or raid 3. Fun :) I understand that some people don't wanna play that way and that is fine. For me the awesome people we met and made a clan with are the best part of the game. We killed Aetheon on hard twice already. Few changes and we mop the floor with him. Even when we couldn't it was fun to just hang with friends and play.

I get that this game is boring.

I get that this game is boring.

Bro, this game is the reason we're living. Destiny is the best I've ever played.

YOUVE WOKEN THE HIVE

Yes, the game would be an acceptable form of entertainment if my main hobby was something other than video games. This game may have enough content for someone such as yourself who spends a portion of the time people such as myself do playing video games. That is understandable, but you also should consider taking in the point of view of other people. You can call reasonable complaints based on promised but not delivered content whining, but that simply marks you as someone ignorant to the perspective of others. There is nothing wrong with that either. Attaining anything even close to someone else's true perspective is an amazing feat. However, the least we can do is respect the fact that we don't truly understand, and most likely never will, how and why other people really think the way they do. You should really just delete the bottom line of your post. People who like the game should come on here and state that, and people who dislike it should let their voices be heard as well. When you start attempting to demean people for their opinion you become an ambiguous troll.

Agreed. I love this game. I don't understand the hate. All my friends get it. We all play as much as we can. It's fun. That's all there is to say.

The more 'friends' you play with, the more you help others in the raid, strikes, crucible, grinding/public events; the more enjoyment you'll squeeze out of this beautiful game. Sure, it's not perfect, but what truly is these days? Enjoy what you have, you may not know what you have til it's gone T_T Sure i'll play cod when it comes out, won't stop me hoppin on here and helpin peeps with Nightfall and raiding!!

I'm glad you've managed to turn a piece of poop into a rocketship for your wildest dreams. Those of us here in reality realize this project was -blam!-. If you feel like waking up, spend 20 minutes looking through all the press coverage and demos over the past 2 years. Your smugness is adorable.
-
It's cool you find this game fun. But addicted? I couldn't get addicted to this game if I tried.

Edited by WkdSounds: 10/30/2014 8:26:59 PMA love the game a just wish people would stop crying for nerfs on everything and spoiling the items others have because either 1. They don't have them 2. They can't get them 3. They are too fu cking stubborn to wait till they get them instead they cry about it and want it nerffed. The grind takes a bit of work but it's worth it in the end Pocket infinity is now ruined because people moaned about it. Vex mythoclast I can't judge because I didn't have it before the nerf but I now have it and it's awesome and look forward to its re buff.

This happens to me at my college. I spend what feels like an eternity talking about it with a friend who plays on xbox one, while i play on ps3.

People don't log into a forum to get all lovey dovey about their favorite title. Most of the time. Just the nature is forums. I only come here because I'm bored and the app makes this easy access

This game is great for casuals, no doubt. - Easy, repetitive content. - Very little depth in customization. - A low skill gap in PvP. - Gear given out for participating, not for excelling. - A non-impactful story. ( so casuals don't have to pay attention while they play ) But for those of us who take gaming a little more seriously, not so much. So when competitive and passionate gamers are getting shafted, can you blame them for coming to these forums to voice their concerns?
