The thought of a trading system irks me a little when I think about the possibilities of what could be traded. The game essentially becomes "pay to win." People that have bad luck getting shards or energy would be able to buy them off of the farmers that would eventually show up. If they used an in game vendor that you trade a shard to and get an energy back, that might not be so bad. Do the same for other materials like hadronic essence, plasteel plating, etc. (I know I probably butchered the spelling, I apologize and will flog myself for it later.) As for weapon trading I haven't been able to come up with a thought that I can't poke holes in for it being broken. I don't play pvp mainly because I suck at it, but trading weapons has a huge impact there. I hope that they have a good system in the works because it has the potential to wreak havoc and let loose the trolls of the net. I know there are other issues out there but this is one I am commenting on right now. I hope there is a bright future for destiny, I enjoy the game but it is not going to be taking up as much time as I thought it would. Maybe I have enough extra time to get a girlfriend, who knows.
