Bungie make us earn gear for other maps from previous map drops in order to move throughout the star system. I.E.) oxygen masks; gravity or anti-gravity gear allowing for more formidable gameplay in future crucible maps. Also gear weapons that perform in some maps better than others relying on only one weapon system in legendary or exotic will change as players move from map to map. Do a throwback every season like shooting snowballs for shotguns and ice shards for fusin rifles...Spring- bolts of lightning(drop shields of enemies quicker) for pulse rifle and salt rock ammo for hand-gun and shotgun so health deteriorates after beign shot for a temporary time and fight an alterante INSECT(STARSHIP TROOPERS) or PLANTLIFE(THE RUINS) enemies with various abilities. Summer- A tornado grenade that chases and eliminates enemies. A flood round that expels a massive amount of flood water onto enemies thru use of rocket launcher. Just a few environmentally linear concepts...oh and yeah a huge amount of possiblilities for 4th of July.... to caveat you could always create seasonal sublclasses to develop all these throughout DLC development. Also create a Waterworld planet with oceanic enemies like NEPTUNE... Final ALIBI---- If weekly strikes and daily's are boring our 30 level gamerrs develop a 25 level and up only moonbase mission for the various maps with 12 hour windows of play and minimum of 3 player requirement filled with nothing but anarchist detailed sub-boss boss enemies that are virtually impossible to kill without teamwork. Limit ammo drops and make the gamers think about strategy over just run n' gun. Dont allow use of consumables for ammo in this environment either. Do ICE Civilization on URANUS that reanimates enemies through reviving as we the players do to make the experience more intense. Make a SUICIDE MODE to see what gamers can get furthest through "EVOLUTIONS" for bragging rights as you move up in evolutions the drops become greater rewarded Legendaries and up...but comes with sacrifice of less ammo drops.
