So what is your favorite grenade variant in the game and why do you like it?
Personally I have become fond of the Warlock Scatter Grenade when paired with the ability Bloom (enemies killed by your abilities explode). It can have an obscenely devastating affect on a group of enemies.
My second favorite is probably the Titan Lightning Grenade. It does so much damage but I have been burned by it a few times when it sticks to a vertical wall and zaps me or I throw it down while jumping but don't clear the blast radius.

Firebolt or Axion Bolt. Cause corner campers.

I like jeep stuff.

Edited by beastbread: 10/30/2014 9:31:52 PMSticky grenade on defender. Post Mortum trolls people so hard.

I don't see why the warlock tracking one wouldn't be the best. It doesn't one shot, but it almost does. You can clear a room with it even if you completely miss because they'll all run away from the orbs. I use grenades to push people mostly or just add pressure. That grenade is perfect for that

How does the defender's 'magnetic' grenade compare to the hunter's 'flux' grenade?
-
Trip mine grenades. They destroy people in pvp. Stick them on walls as people are capturing control points and watch the multi kills come in The warlock tracking grenades are pretty dope as well

Flash Bangs for PvE. People need to start realizing that: 1. Blind effectively works as a stun on PvE enemies--they can't shoot, and they move very slowly for the duration of the effect (which is long) 2. Radius on Blind is enormous--you can throw a grenade and completely miss the damage and still blind a target. 3. Distance to epicenter does not affect PvE enemies the same as PvP (where the blind is weaker the farther you are from epicenter) 4. Laugh as Praetorians stumble around blind and helpless.
-
Flash bangs if it doesn't kill you. The residual effects will allow me to.
-
I personally like the Spike Grenade once I understood how it worked.
-
Since most of my time is spent playing my warlock, I'd say scatter grenade for my void walker and fusion grenade for my sun singer.
-
I'm gonna have to go with my Flashbang grenade. As much as it's a plain grenade, the blinding effect is amazing in control matches and groups of enemies in PvE

Edited by Archangel: 10/28/2014 7:44:42 PMI love how this is in the Hunter tag, yet that guy up there is talkin bout his titan grenade. Although i think this question is better suited for the warlock tag, my favorite is the Arcbolt grenade. Combine that with the blink strike and a shotgun, and let the body count rise... Although, if you prefer Gunslinger, i do favor the tripmine. That's just a one hit KO if you can stick em, unless they supercharge or something.

I love me some sticky nades!
-
The Titan Defender Magnetic Grenade with my Armamentarium. Why!? Cause they are a death sentence.
-
Scatter grenade is great for PvP when players try recovering health behind cover
-
Titan lightning grenade. Love that thing in games of control
-
I'm gonna say the arcbolt for the hunter. That chain effect is nice. My second is a tie between the magnetic for titans and the fusion for warlocks. Homing one hit sticky grenades

People dump on the Hunter grenades, but I love the Skip Grenade. It's pretty versatile. Throw it closer to an enemy to hit him with all five projectiles, or throw almost at your feet to spread out the projectiles and take out a crowd. If I angle it right I can get each one on a different target. It's got crazy bounce that can greatly extend it's distance. It's a good way to soften up a roving squad of opponents in Control before they turn the corner, or to hopefully hit an opponent one last time as they sprint away; once it "locks" it follows pretty far sometimes, which can be a kill, or just enough to keep their shields down while you or a teammate track them down.

anything that lingers because it keeps enemies at bay

Thanks for the tip.

I only know the Titan nades, but Lighting is absolutely beast. Damage is crazy. I hit the devil walker on strike for 20kg damage once on a critical hit! Magnetic grenade for defender is also good. Great on a Nightfall with void burn. I imagine with armamentarium even more so!

Vortex

Fusion because it's OHK.
