I remember when Destiny first came out the excitement, the joy! After playing for quite a while and realizing once the campaign is complete, and the hard grind for ascendance material begins... What's the point? I mean sure this hit me before I ever even hit lvl 30 and proudly waltzed around in my maxed out gear looking like every other person in my class besides maybe a different exotic. But there's not enough different gear styles to even feel unique and besides iron banner when the level "matters" there's no point in going past the point. I mean sure your gonna release new raids and content where it will matter and make it easier but guess what your gonna have all the same gear to achieve these higher lvls, and the people that actually put in the effort to do it get the same armor and shaders as everyone else and there really is still no difference. The game is amazing but the lack of effort put into the gear system is what killed it for me... Weapon element should be the only thing that can be different cause guess what everyone who has it is forced into using the same subclass and strategy. I thought the loot system would be like borderlands or Diablo when I bought this game with random suffixes which all determined a different stat bonus but once I figured this out and the fact that I worked so hard to do events and get my armor fully maxed out that I would look like every other warlock in the game. Destiny is a roller coaster it's extremely exhilarating the first time on but once you ride the same ride so many times what's the point? That thrill is gone. So rest in piece Destiny, it was fun while it lasted. I don't see our future being so bright after the first week of November.
