I may be probing an already talked about subject or something that may be touchy to players.
- I understand this.
My opinion of how I would like the game to perfectly be is that voice-chat is an option that players can have available to them. Not something forced upon you, keep in mind this. I've found in my experiences of mmo's (moba/shooters/rpg) that voice chat has been an incredible feature. Even if of course it had to be reached by means of skype/raidcall/ts/vent etc.
Say i'm involved in PvP (i know, i said it) & it's a more casual match with public players. I would still like the option to coordinate & communicate with them, i get that some toxic players may follow up with screaming negativity & abuse. So when i'm in that PvP situation, i'd also like to have the option to completely turn it off or not use the system & also, just to mute a singular player if he or she is ruining the Destiny Experience.
So, PvE Instance's. Strikes. While the current Raid is already linked to a Fireteam. I feel with the values mentioned above, this would further increase the utility of a unfamiliar matched lineup of players targeting a similar outcome.
Public/Social. Broadcasted AoE voice chatter perhaps? I understand this may get clogged at the tower, so a limited radius perhaps? But anyway when i'm out farming materials & someone is nearby? A voice chat option may just make this person my next Destiny Friend. Or when a public event is coming & a few avid players swarm the area? Let's get down to business. Everything goes well? I'll fireteam invite these people to keep talking.
----- Regardless of anything incorrect i may have stated. You understand the core idea.
Should Destiny's in-game voice system get an upgrade?
Would this add depth to the community?
Do you want the option?
I vote Yes.
I believe it will only further the already great Destiny Experience.
