It has lower impact than Supremacy, Icebreaker, and Epitaph. Is it really worth using?
-
It's not a sniper, it's a scout rifle.
-
Yes can hold 6 bullets in a mag and with no recoil that makes it deadly.
-
Yes it is a great gun. It has like no recoil and a good rof
-
I just can't bring myself to upgrade it... My 5 year old hits harder...
-
I have been wanting that sniper for a while now to use as my legendary sniper rifle I am using patience and time right now.
-
Sh!t yeah 6 shots in the mag, crazy good stability, fire rate of a beast, reload speed of a god
-
I was reluctant to put my Supremacy away after maxing it out, it got me through many a battle. PR is just as good if not better though, the fire rate and stability are killer. There's almost no recoil so you can hit all 4 bullets in the same place way faster than Supremacy...I actually posted a similar thread to this like last week and the advice i got was true.
-
I love it, it's an awesome sniper. Between it and icebreaker they can cover a variety of situations
-
It is my favorite tool of destruction in the crucible.
-
Best pvp sniper in the game except maybe Patience and Time, but it doesn't take up an exotic slot.
-
Praedyth's revenge is my favorite sniper in the game so far, and i have most the legendary's and exotics

Edited by PMB91184: 11/4/2014 11:05:59 PMYou have to take into account the low rate of fire and huge recoil on Ice Breaker. Your shots are blown well off target after each shot, that you find yourself wasting time getting it back on target. Patience and Time and Praedyth's Revenge don't have this problem; they both have a high rate of fire and low stability. That's their compensation for less damage per hit. Truth be told, the impact on Ice Breaker is overkill for anything other than bosses, as a precision hit with just about any Sniper will end most enemies, so the added impact is wasted. The only thing I personally believe the Ice Breaker has going for it, other than the solar damage, is it's unlimited ammo; which is unaffected by Juggler. I'll leave you with this thought though; the hardest part about the Vault of Glass is arguably the Praetorians. The Praetorians have void shields, and Praedyth's Revenge is undoubtedly the best void Sniper rifle in the game. If you're serious about raiding, you'll pack at least two void weapons for that very reason. Myself, I use Confluence, Praedyth's Revenge and Corrective Measure. The two latter guns are both void; and both Praetorian killers. Each of my guns have added oracle damage too, just in case.

It's my go-to almost alway. Only time I use ice breaker is when I need ammo over the long haul.
-
It is smooth as butter.
-
Yup. In PvP you should go for stability and Revenge has the maximum stability.
-
For PvP there's no real point in using any exotic sniper as you are forced to use their scopes which are too far zoomed in and don't let you see what's going on around while you snipe.. unless you count the radar perk for patience and time..which I do not.
-
It's probably the best one next to epitaph with double zoom speed upgrades
-
yes. still OSK anything the supremacy, icebreaker, and epitaph does plus the upgrades it has are really good. the higher RoF allows you to empty the clip into bosses faster as well

Edited by Some Black Guy: 11/4/2014 11:05:15 PMUse all of the raid weapons, for the raid…yes
-
If you get a weapon in the raid chances are it's going to be good; at least that's been my experience...
-
Best sniper outside of exotics. The stability is what makes it so good. No kick barely, can chain head shots like a mofo.
-
It's one of the top 3 snipers...with patience and time and icebreaker.
-
raid weapons are the best legendaries out there right now
-
Yes, best one too
-
I maxed it out and use it alot. Especially in the raid.
-
Only really in the raid does it shine for me
