Destiny is not made for anyone with a job or family

I stuck with Destiny for a while. I defended Bungie through many changes and updates. But as time goes by I see a pattern here. A pattern that is edging me, and others like me, out of Destiny entirely. Who are "other like me"? People with careers and families. I feel like Bungie is looking at a small audience with many of the patches. I think Bungie is slowly edging out the gaming community that has money to spend; ya know, people who work full time jobs and have families that do not have 6+ hours solid several times a week to play this. I wish I could get my expansion money back because I am certain not to play it now. I hate that I fed Bungie money to do this to us. They will not get one more dime from me now that I know that they do not care about my type of gamer. They apparently cater to the "I can game for 10 hours a day" crowd. Yeah, I know, people are going to jump all over this and claim they are super elite gamers that got to level 28 and defeated VOG on level 30 with under 20 hours of gameplay. But ya know what? Ya'll are not the majority of players. I congratulate your gaming powers, but realistically you are not the market share. And before people start calling me a casual gamer or farmer, use the Bungie app and Xbox tools to actually look at my stats. I am not a farmer, I am not a "casual gamer". I just happen to have a job and a family so I can do things like drop $90 on a game and its DLC. I feel totally excluded from this game because I simply CANNOT play for hours and hours on end every day. I can do 3-4 hrs a day on weekdays and 6+ on weekends, but every update makes me feel more and more like Bungie is making sure that if I am not truly "hardcore" AND jobless I can't enjoy Destiny. When friends or coworkers ask me about Destiny I tell them it isn't enjoyable unless you can sink an incredible amount of time constantly into the game. If you have any life at all, the game quickly becomes boring and unenjoyable because all the patches are about catering to this small community of people who have tons of time to play. This prevents most people who have families from even giving it a try. Bungie needs to get its priorities straight. Until they do, I am done with Destiny entirely. I will gladly spend my hard earned money giving it to Ubisoft, Rockstar or Bioware who seem to understand people have to have a job to pay for their game content.

 • I have a 45+ hours job myself and a family to take care of. But I don't feel excluded from any part of the game. It only takes me a little longer to achieve what I want to. But this is by any means how a game like Destiny should work. Most of the time I can't from Xur every week but who cares? Sometimes I don't have the time for raiding. But then again sometimes I do have the time. The problem most gamers have is that they are too obsessed with other players achievement. This is why mythoclast had to be nerfed and still PvPers keep complaining going from one weapon to another. And this why snowflakers have such a huge problem with Xur. Play for yourself and your own goals at your own paste.
