I get invited to a level 28 strike against Phogoth for the weekly strike. After helping fight all the way through - a painful, irritating process that takes us about 40 minutes because the other guys are 27 - we finally get to the boss room. After getting the boss's health down halfway, I am kicked from the fireteam so they can invite one of their friends, allowing them to aquire all of the mission rewards.
God, what dickery. I know name-and-shame is frowned upon, but good god, this is like the sixth time I've run into this nonsense this week. I'm out the cost of those ammo manufacturing packs I used to kill the wizards, too.
Have you guys been running into this kind of thing?

I truly feel bad for you man. I only just got to level 25 so I haven't ran into this kind of stuff. That honestly sucks
-
You should follow them on the forums and whenever they post about raids or nightfall or anything you should reply and warn everyone else. Give them a bad name. They'll stop doing it.
-
Wow. Didn't think people did this. What -blam!-ing losers. Do they not have enough skill to do it on their own?
-
Don't join randoms then, or at least at your own risk. Of course it's a crap move, but that's what you risk signing up for it.
-
And Bungie thinks matchmaking is a bad idea.
-
Add me on PS4; I am level 29 on two accounts. I'd be happy to help out. IGN= MarkedElite

This has happened to me 3 times this week already. People that do this should be drug out in the street and shot.
-
That is such an ass move on them. I'd remember their names and report them (whether that will have any adverse affect on them or not) and hope to not run into something like that again. Find people to play with on the forums. Its less likely they would do something like that, because you can call them out on it. Also the likely chance that you can depend on them again the next week. Good luck out there!
-
This is why I solo nightfall and the weekly
-
That's gay. I'll boot em from the raid right before rewards. Boom.
-
I was finding level 30s to help with Atheon (since I had the checkpoint) and being level 30 means you do more damage to the praetoreans with the relic. And I had a guy message me saying he could help, I added him, he joined up, we started and he immediately left and stole my Atheon save, I assume to go push him off with his friends. It was kind of a dick move.
-
What system do you play on?
-
That sucks.
-
I'd get the leadership, or I won't join 2 strqngers
-
I didn't even know such a thing could happen. If it's true then that really sucks.
-
Didn't know people would stoop to that low, that really sucks man :(
-
Dam this is a good strategy Gonna try this out next time Should give me and my friends a good laugh
-
It may be your connection because if I'm correct, you can't kick players that aren't in your fireteam.
-
Yet another reason why I don't play with randoms lol. I'll echo the other suggestion of request promotion to fireteam leader if they want your help.
-
Just run it with friends, that's what I do.
-
And Bungie wants us to search for fire teams instead of putting in match making...yeah...
-
No, because im the one who typically hosts the session. I dont mind when others join, and am too lazy to kick people.

Edited by DarqueAx: 10/25/2014 6:40:57 PMI havent. I feel for you man. I usually either solo the nightfall and weekly or do it with my clan. To prevent this you should require them to promote you to leader for your assistance. If they wont then dont help.
