A lot of people in destiny are getting annoyed by the fact that the raid and daily heroic story keeps giving them ascendant energy while they need shards or the other way around or a second scenario you buy an exotic from xur and get that same exotic a day later from the nightfall strike, thats why i think an auction house should be added to destiny perhaps with some non tradeables such as raid gear etc what do you guys think about this? For example i now have 33 energy and nothing to spend them on while i do need a lot of ascendant shards. So the system would work as following: Put an item in the auction house as an offer and out of destiny's database a wanted item, then when you place this offer the destiny server will find a matching offer for you. When this happens the trade will go through the destiny server and the requested item will be sent to your vault Notes: - once you place an offer your item will be removed from your inventory and placed in the auction house - maximum amount per day - no information about the person you traded with such as IGN - only comparable items can be requested/offered so only exotics for other exotics etc

    This has been a topic of discussion for a while among many of the players that I run with. We came to the conclusion that while the game's RNG system appears to have been designed with trading in mind, for reasons we do not know Bungie pulled it. Perhaps there were issues with other aspects that they could not balance in the game economy, perhaps it was cut for an inability to integrate another key aspect - who knows. Point is an RNG loot system needs some way of exchanging items. The following is presented as part of another post [url=http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/74947949][b]Clans Expanded[/b][/url], and describes how we hoped Bungie might find a way to work around the lack of such system without unbalancing other aspects of the game's economy. While I hope you make it over to read the whole topic, I will at least present this part for you here: [b]Clan Trading[/b]: There are two ways to approach this and we will speak about the most likely to be done one first; allow clan members to trade same class items DURING an event (Raid/Strike). While we would love to see open trading at any time among clan members we doubt that will occur, so here is how we think you can make at least the aforementioned one work. Any clan member can trade another clan member a same class item (legendary for legendary, exotic for exotic). This idea may make a few people unhappy but we understand the need to contain displacement of gear, and this method allows for limited trade. In that at least clan members can trade duplicate gear, or non-class gear to another player that also has something that they cannot use rather than salvaging both pieces. In your case you would be able to trade Ascendant energy for shards since they are the same type of class.
