  • Ok Bungie. We need to talk. I'll be honest, I didn't really follow the hype before the game was released. I stayed in the dark for most of the details. All I really knew about this game before I dropped $70 on it was that it was supposed to be a great space epic that you can play with your friends. You know, "grand story" and all that stuff you guys said on the box. After playing it, I can't say it really lived up to even what little I heard about it. Instead of a space epic, it was more of a space "meh, it's ok". You guys obviously spent a lot of work on this game, so I'm kinda scratching my head wondering why it's so lackluster. As a PvE buff who never really got into the crucible or its "Iron Banner" events, I've been hoping for a reason to enjoy this game. I mean, I have yet to set foot in the raid because I don't have enough friends with the console, so I've been waiting for raid matchmaking. In the meantime, I've been going over the same bounties, the same story missions and the same strikes to get some play value out of your game, but it's not easy. I often find myself just wandering around the cosmodrome admiring the scenery, hoping to find tidbits of story like you do when you wander in other games, finding interesting things like those incredibly tough hive Knights hidden in that building on the forgotten shore; killing them only to find no purpose behind them and yet another dead end as my reward. What I'm trying to say is that your game absolutely has potential, and even though I deeply desire to enjoy it, the game is little more than a depressing cycle at this point. If you're going to take my feedback, just take this: give me a reason to love your game. Not a reason to play it; God knows RNG gives me infinite reasons to play it- none of them good. When you guys sit down for your next meeting, please just ask yourselves what are you doing to make us not just play this game, but love this game. And please, let me know when you do. Hoping to see you starside. Until then, my Destiny can wait.
