Two classes in Destiny have armor that looks awesome: titans and hunters. Their gear looks cool, and it's somewhat diverse and varied in form.
The other class in Destiny has gear that looks lame: warlocks.
This is a serious point. Although it does not affect the game mechanics, it does affect my engagement with the game and connection with my character. Unfortunately, warlocks were designed with girls in mind.
In a nutshell: as a guy, do I want to play a game where the male character I made is forced to wear a woman's dress? No.
In Destiny, all warlocks have to wear a dress. Compare that with what titan armor looks like.
Do I want to glide around in a pretty skirt? No. But that's what ALL lock gear looks like. Seriously. ALL warlock armor is essentially a beautiful lady's dress. I'm sure somebody at Bungie is chuckling about the practical joke they played on anybody who made the mistake of rolling a warlock as their main character. You can keep your pretty skirt and pink Queen's faction ship, too. Female warlocks looks fantastic. I am a bloke and my main character is MALE.
The lamentable aesthetics are exacerbated by more pragmatic concerns about the fact that titans and hunters have superior armour for which warlocks have no counterpart, nothing that even comes close.

I agree with you, but only to a point. The trench coat is bad ass, that's just a fact. The only thing I see "wrong" with warlock armor is the helmets (honestly maybe every class's helmets). Don't misquote me on this, I completely know and understand this game isn't Halo, but looking back at Bungie's past in the Halo universe, look back at all those fantastic helmet variations you got to unlock during multiplayer. I miss that level of armor design.
