Dear Deej and Bungie

Hey, I have been playing games for a long time and I wanted to let you know all the reasons I really like Destiny. 1. Its rewarding for me. I have a BA Psychology with a focus on behaviorism, and I find the RNG super reinforcing and I understand why it is used. 2. The mythology rocks. Awesome job creating something that feels original. I feel like many things in the game have obvious influences from other material, but I think that the way they are presented comes across as homage as opposed to rip off. 3. The design is incredible. All the characters look flashy, all the guns look futuristic and deadly, all the enemies have unique personalities, all the areas feel amazing to be in. The scale of some of the areas, such as the Hellmouth, make me feel small and insignificant in the universe. Its not something that most games can accomplish. 4. The cooperative play is implemented excellently. From someone who played Halo 1 and 2 in the dorms at college, with the entire northside of campus on the same network, the matchmaking and ease of getting a game going with your friends harkens back to those days and I love it. I will stop there for now, but I wanted to say keep up the good work! Looking forward to the next installment.

  • I like the game too but it does have its faults. Some glaring and some not, but over all I'm having a blast with it and will continue to have a good time (200+ hours so far). Anyway from one fellow psychology major to another, prepare for a steady stream of insults and shit slung towards you (prove me wrong community! ).
