Rising trend

I am seeing a rise of the trend of posts with the 'Don't buy the DLC' video. I've seen many videos of the it's creator and agreed with some while raising a brow at others. This is one of them where I feel worried. I feel it was poorly titled and meant to sway minds to the idea of not purchasing DLC rather than what most Reviewers would do, which would be to point out flaws and points you may like. We don't see Angry Joe or Gamespot telling us not to buy the DLC. That's because they enjoyed the came, even with it's flaws. It was something they were into. But this... man, it's confuses me. He talks about many points, mentions many things but I've not heard anything, perhaps not wishing to, of him telling me not to by the DLC. YET his title says I should. Even worse I see many of our blind brothers and sisters falling under the banner. Mere children I say and I insult their feeble minds. Yes, feeble, dim witted. Because they can't form their own opinion of the game and need someone to convince them. I also saw a topic where someone asked others if they dissuaded anyone from buying Destiny. I recall going into Gamestop the other day, taking in a headset to trade in for points toward a game I wishes to purchase. I looked behind me to notice a fellow gamer discouraging another fellow from buying Destiny. I huffed and approached the two, challenged the other gamer to a duel of words. I won... then provided the man with pros and cons of the game. He ended up buying it. The gamer felt wrong and apologized to me, saying he never saw my point of view of it. I do not dislike Destiny, I defend it not because I want to as well. I do it because I feel i have to. You who dislike the game have simple options: 1.) Leave. You stomp on the dreams of the developers who brought you an Epic, games you loved and adored. You should feel ashamed. You needn't stay if you don't like what you see. 2.) Suck it up, sit down, STOP bashing and provide feedback for the developers we know and love. Not complaints, not cries for nerfs. Just mature feed back. Human beings are slaving at their workstations trying to please you as we type and speak. But even they have limit and even they have feelings. 3.) Wait. Games such as WoW did not become big over night. It was slow and gained ground when popularity rose and supporters came in droves. This game is still an infant, it will stumble, fall, it wont be grand right away. But as it grows we will prosper.

  • While I appreciate that you enjoyed the game 'with it's flaws', I found it infuriating. The game did very well to hook into my need to improve my character. But the gaps in storytelling (or blatant lack there off) - and unbelievable matchmaking system, left me with a sour taste in my mouth. The shotty PvP, lag issues, chaotic balance, and lack of meaning in gear made me cross. I can not believe they launched the game the way it is. I played WoW at launch, and played it for years. It had depth, and an unbelievable world. It developed better free of charge, and content expansions revitalized the game. This has the potential of that, but I don't see it yet. I hear what could have been and think, damn, that would have been epic - but it does not cloud what I feel about this game. This game just isn't. This game lacks. Simply that. I'll play until Dragonage 3 comes out, then I'm finished. Maybe the DLC proves to be amazing, and I will buy and continue to play.
