Raid Loot Discussion

I am a hardcore player who has been pushing hard since launch day. I am a member of a progression based clan and I took a full 5 day vacation from launch day forward to get myself a nice head start. I have run I believe 11 full raids between hard and normal and cleared through to Templar or Atheon another 3-4 times. I have two titans to double the chance of recieving raid gear for my titan. Doing the math, that lands somewhere around 30 chances to get raid gloves, which I still don't have. Don't get me wrong, I have almost every raid weapon, the sparrow, ship and more chatterwhite than I know what to do with. Of my Clanmates who are 30, I believe two got full gear at about 3-4 full runs, one was 5-6 and two others were 8-9 or so. I wouldn't even care too much, but the differentiation between a 29 and 30 is obscene. Im at the point where I do normal raids, then try to put together hard mode crews for more chances at loot. Doing this, whenever I play with my friends at 30, I feel like I am holding my team back. I die a bit more than them and am way lower on kill counts, but it has nothing to do with skill. This wouldn't bother me much either, but it could be 40 raids before I get gloves based off the way it seems to work. Im not here to whine about how much things suck though. I want to start a constructive dialogue on ways to fix raid loot. I have a few ideas. Feel free to critique, add to them or throw out your own. 1. Raid Marks - Set up a system similar to vanguard and crucible marks for raid gear. It may take a while to get your gear, but at least people would feel like they are working for something. 2. Completion Based Rewards - Lets say you run your first raid! Congrats, you get raid boots. On your second you get your found verdict, on the third you get your class specific aesthetic item and on and on it goes. It would mean potentially more raids in total, but would again give people a sense of progression. 3. Remove weekly loot restrictions - When raids first launched, I would have ran raids for days straight until I hit 30 if I could get loot every time As it is now, someone with half the raid experience and skill is able to hit max level before me because of luck. This at least would place hard work in the equation. 4. Ease the 29-30 curve - I might not be bothered doing the grind for so long if I didn't feel like the weak link on my team when im playing with a bunch of 30s on a hard raid. It might be the only place in the game where you can even tell the difference, but it is huge. 5. Make 3 raid legendaries required for 30 - All you have to do is take the raid armor and kick it up to 32 light, while taking non raid legends down by one light. Full maxed legendary and one exotic still required, but saves you from weeks of waiting for that one piece that won't drop for you. 6. Choice of rng or specific - I assume this would be the most difficult to code, but an idea is an idea right? Give the player the option of raiding as it is today, or passing on all loot for one guaranteed raid drop (Prob excluding mythoclast) I know others have this issue, as I have seen the posts. Just an friendly request though. Please stop saying you have run 25 raids and not gotten anything when you have only half finished a normal run. Also stop saying how your whole team gets full raid gear every run and you have never gotten anything but shards. It makes you look like a troll or liar and only serves to devalue the point being made and makes it less likely to be addressed. Sorry if it's TL DR. Just read the numbered points. Lets get a good discussion going people.
