Hi,
I've played Destiny for around 150+ Hours now. I recently got to Level 30, after getting terrible stuff in the Raid for around 5 weeks, I finally found my week where I get a full sweep of Raid Gear. I guess that unlucky RNG paid off eventually right? Anyway, I'd just like to be open and honest about my experience with the game.
Firstly, my addiction to finding better gear has kept me playing this game for over a month now. It's been a fun, long, drawn out process. I got stuck at Level 24 for a long time because the RNG was horrific to me. Then once I found my Raid Crew, we played through it plenty of times and I enjoyed getting 20 Shards the first time...then the second time...and so on. I got Legendary Weapons here and there, but some of them are absolutely terrible.
Fast-forward to this week, I got all of my Raid Gear (Went through on Normal then on Hard). I've spent the past 2 days upgrading them in order to get myself to Level 30. But now i've hit this point where I say..."What Now?"
I've got a Level 19 Titan sat there that I haven't used in a while (I'm not a big fan of Titans). Do I level that up? Do I create a Hunter Class and level that one up? Do I try and find more weapons? (I've already got my fair share of Legendaries and Exotics in the Vault).
This is now a problem I'm facing. The Strike Missions are hella-boring. The Crucible is beyond fun for me, it's not an enjoyable experience. I can't play the Missions again because they're mind-numbingly dull and tedious. The lack of story keeps me resistant to playing any of the Missions, except the Daily Mission.
My Feedback here is that there simply isn't anything left for me to do. The idea of ranking up another character from scratch doesn't sound too fun. What if I have a worse experience with the RNG next time round? I suppose i'll play the Raid every week to help my group get the gear that they need, but other than that, there's nothing to keep me playing this game until the DLC comes out. It's a shame that Bungie have cut corners with this game, slicing up content and preparing that same content to be released in segments for money. It's quite disappointing that this is what Bungie has become. This is coming from someone that has put thousands of hours into the Halo Franchise. This company puts profits before it's consumers, which is a shame.
TL;DR - I'm stuck with nothing to do at Level 30 now. The game needs a higher Level Cap to keep my interest, or 10+ more Strikes and more Raids to keep me playing.
If you read all that, thanks!
