Can we all just agree shotguns and the people who use them suck.
Idk if it is just a "oh I suck so one hit k.o. guns is what I should use" or what but everybody who uses a shotgun is really bad. Especially in pvp. I understand pve you want to just be a grunt killer but shotguns in pvp should just go all together. You want to interview Destinytracker about who has more stats and skill I think if you get any kill in pvp with a shotty your skill should go down. That's my rant for all you bums who are bad and need shotguns.

I use them because there fun and people are stupid enough to be in close range and die. Your the 'bad' player if you keep getting killed by them...

Try to look at all the times you've eaten buckshot as learning experiences. If were so much better than a shotty wielder, you probably wouldn't spend much time on the business end of a blunderbuss. So the next time you feel the temptation to whine about getting turned into Swiss cheese, try some different tactics instead.

4 RepliesI dont understand all the crying about people using shot guns...I can only say for my self, I suck at pvp but still enjoy it and get my kills..."how?" Strategy, weapon combination and good reflex! If I see you coming at me with your auto rifle and thinking "the more you get close to me the fast you going to kill me"....I will draw that spitting fire dragon and melt your face. That's how weapon combination works, I can take you with my scout rifle for a mid distance, but if i miss a shot or two and you're dumb enough to go berserk after me and get close, guess what? Kablaamm lol "your face is melted"....now before you revive, grow up, think of better strategies other than complaining in the forums "why your special weapon that a magic unicorn gave to you is not working! It's not other players that suck, it is you that suck around other player for not using a better strategie for game play!

1 ReplyI agree with this post 100%. I'm tired of seeing the kill feed full of shotguns.. Sure the maps are small but that doesn't excuse anyone. I use a sniper and can still pull kills off easy. You don't like to snipe? You only get the choice of a fusion rifle and shotgun so you choose shotgun? Sure! Makes sense! Which is why shotguns need to be a little less easy to use in my opinion.. I'm a hunter and I have used a shotgun and it's wayyyyy to easy to slide around corners and pop someone an BAM instakill... It's almost to easy it is not fun.. But this game is full of instant kill weapons and supers and just makes everything feel overpowered, which I think was bungie's intentions. Hunter supers are instant kills, titans are instant kills, and warlocks are instant kills. No one has a right to complain about those. Just make supers obtained from kill streaks! That's my opinion on that for those complained about supers. All special weapons spawn with ammo and each weapon is a instant kill! Sniper headshots and a range, fusion rifles mid range, and shotgun "close range". Why not make special ammo harder to come by? Hmmm makes sense to me! Well that is my opinion on the matters. No offense to anyone who disagrees this is simply my opinion and was not intended to insult anyone. #bungie #feedback

Edited by subaqueousReach: 10/24/2014 12:05:51 PMI think you're just bad at countering shotguns. The only reason so many people use them is because most of the maps cater to close quarter combat. To not use a shotgun in those situations puts you at an obvious disadvantage. Also, you can't say there's no skill in using a shotgun. The only way it's a one shot kill is if they've got the barrel right in your face. If they keep getting there then the problem is obviously you, not the shotguns.

Shotguns are fine they have really poor range so its no different to a melee kill.

Why not grab one yourself and try it instead of complaining you can't sit because you got buckshot in your *OO-LA-LA*? Try using a shotgun in PvE, due of whiners like you, it is virtually non existent in PvE, because of how dangerously close you have to get to an enemy to get a shot off. Like a lot of good posters have said what the real problem is: The current PvP maps are catered to close quarters combat, so obviously shotguns are still THE optimal gun. Bungie needs to add maps with more options for combat rather than go with the typical CoD way. Then you can start complaining about snipers, fusion rifles, and pulse rifles being OP, ok?
