I don't have to reiterate the issues plaguing Destiny, especially those parts of the game that specifically contradict what we saw in promotional marketing preceeding the game's release. What I feel I must do is give back to the community with a few tips. Here goes:
Buyers Beware: As long as you are willing to pay 100 dollars, or two-thirds of a the retail value extra, for the "digital noob edition" of a game this will keep happening.
Buyers Beware: As long as you are willing to accept the "significant" 5 dollar, or 12.5% discount, for DLC content on release day this will keep happening.
Buyers Beware: As long as you allow pre-order bonuses (hardly) to justify paying ahead for an entirely separate game from the same publisher this will keep happening.
Buyers Beware: As long as you keep apologizing for the failures of a studio in an effort to convince yourself you made a good purchase, this will keep happening.
Buyers Beware: As long as you pay more attention to the name of a studio than to the employees coming and going, this will keep happening.
Just remember these little things going forward. $60 is not a lot to spend if you're talking about basic necessities, but when it comes down to it luxuries not only cost you money but your time as well. It is not becoming of us as informed buyers to allow these industry standards to manipulate us.
This post is like a fart in a windstorm, but I just wanted to let my voice be heard if only for a moment.
