"Destiny Head Scratchers" are Destiny design decisions that make me, well, scratch my head and wonder "who thought this was a good idea?". Why are all of the faction weapons not available for purchase with the vendor? Seriously. There is no reason I can think for keeping half of the faction weapons hidden. Especially when the faction vendor's stock is never refreshed. This is made even more perplexing by the fact that the crucible and vanguard vendors have all weapon types available. All I want is a new sniper rifle (already have ice breaker, final boss, epitaph, supremacy, and preadyth's) but with none for sale by the factions I am left relying on RNG. This is actually a much larger problem I have with Destiny; the lack of means to specific ends in the end game. That is a conversation for another time - back to faction vendors. In an effort to get the New Monarchy sniper rifle I have been wearing my New Monarchy cloak at all times. This morning I reached New Monarchy level 6 and, for the third time in a row, I received the same cloak I am wearing in my faction "care package". Why the hell are these even an option to be dropped? If I am leveling up the faction I obviously already have one (probably both since they only cost 2500 glimmer). Bungie, if you are not going to have all the faction weapons available for purchase with the vendor then a random "hidden" weapon should always drop when you level. Or have specific weapon types drop when you reach certain faction levels. Also faction shaders from the beta; Where did they go?
