ACTUAL BUG IN THE GAME!!!
I'll come back and update with a video when I get one but I found out that if you use a sniper with over penetrating rounds you can shoot people through windows. I'm pretty sure this was not intended and have not tested this with other weapon types.
People can use this to shoot people through windows on maps like moon and I find that a little cheap.

Actually I think it is meant to be like that. Because it only happens with the over penetrating rounds upgrade. The key words to that which provide the tip-off to me are "over penetrating rounds". They'll go right through enemies and hit others behind, why wouldn't you be able to shoot through a window? In fact, you shouldn't even need that upgrade to shoot through a window (though to be honest, I don't think I've ever even noticed a solid window in the game, but I digress). That perk should however let you shoot through basic walls that enemies are hinding behind......which I actually think it does based on reports of people being able to shoot through walls with some sniper rifles. It's actually very realistic. Sniper rifles in real life, on our world now can shoot right through cement walls hitting the person behind, so why do you think sniper rifles in the distant future shouldn't be able to even shoot through glass? I'm pretty sure that it's supposed to be in the game, it just doesn't really seem like it because the game has absolutely ZERO environmental deformation/destruction/interaction. If the glass actually broke, or got a hole in it, you wouldn't question it.

1 ReplyPretty sure it's not a bug. One of the descriptions somewhere for it mentions piercing light cover, so it would make sense that it could go through something thin like a window.

If it's not a bug then alls well but if it is I'm just trying to bring it to bungie's attention.
