No Legendary Engrams...
Ok, after playing Destiny for roughly 2 and a half days and getting my hunter to light level 26 and my titan to level 9 I have yet to see any engrams higher than rare (blue).....
Is it just me or is anyone else having problems with the game being stupidly unbalanced when it comes to drops, one of my friends has almost full legendary/exotic and hasn't bought a single item from a vendor, he got his exotics and legendaries from engrams that were dropped for him.
I'm getting bored of trying to randomly come across a decent fireteam in the vanguard strike playlist in hopes of getting better gear.
Bungie, fix your game for christ sake, if you expect the game to have a decent life you better start fixing the things that are broken, oh wait I forgot that's everything!

I'm getting the same thing I'm a lvl 25 warlock who has got no legendary stuff at all

If I had to venture a guess I'd say that they had the percentages too high for legendary engrams from when they were testing it. Same with the 6 second respawns (loot caves). Somebody forgot to change a code somewhere. A Legendary engram SHOULD be something that only drops occasionally, not every time you play. Greens should be frequent when an engram does drop (anybody remember having more gear than they could upgrade?). After all, you need the materials anyway so you need things to break down. I've seen a legendary engram twice since the hot-fix. I was frustrated at first too but I figured that it's probably closer to their original intentions now than on release. But, Rahool is still an ass-hat. Random loot rewards still irritates the hell out of me after a Raid checkpoint, crucible match or strike mission. BtW, what do you guys think about the bone pile in the Cosmodrome loot cave about Master Rahool? I think it's hilarious.

1 ReplyJust buy from the vendor, that's what I'm doing. My luck isn't good enough for legendary drops, so I'm not gonna stress over it when I can buy from the vendor.

Legendary engram drops are random. While the situation you describe is unlikely it is not impossible.

Ive seen one in total and that got turned into ascendant energies. Incidentally I didnt get my 1 legendary until I was fully kitted out ion legendary weapons and armour. I have had more luck getting legendary items from the Vangaurd for ranking up or buying them. What annoys me though is everytime I have ranked up the Cryptarch from Level 3 to level 11, is that the pretty little purple parcel at the Postmaster has turned into 2 blue engrams every time.

1 ReplyThe last time I saw a legendary engram was on like October 9th and I play this more than a full time job. I think when they released a patch around then they changed the drop rates, but for you I would say your situation is not uncommon. The best thing I can say is get vanguard marks and rank up so you can buy some legendaries. Also do the nightly, weekly, and nightfall strike (I wouldn't recommend nightfall unless you are at LEAST 26...)
