I just got it...well played Bungie...well played

After seeing so many vocal threads and posts in response to the Atheon fixes...it finally clicked. Bungie is trolling us. How you may ask? Pull up a seat and allow me to explain. In all of the hot fixes, Bungie has made a joke at their own expense. Remember the engram hot fix? "Cryptarch was shown a bag of doorknobs to decode." The loot cave now has the infamous Master Rahool line. All of these were like the tech guy came down the hall and said, I fixed those bugs for you. Sorry about that. Yet in this one, things were drastically different. It felt like we were invited a huge conference room and the CEO sat down and explained matters. There were no jokes in this hot fix. I kept wondering why this was so different. They put in "Baby Bumpers." Ding! Then it clicked. They heard all the complaints, sighed, and had to be mommy and daddy. They are patting you on the back because it was so unfair that other players were more creative and found a faster and more efficient method of killing Atheon. What do they do to make you feel better? To make all of you who sounded like little children, "That's not fair! That's cheating!" they added in "baby bumpers." That's right, you acted like children and were treated as children. I bet all of you that were so against pushing Atheon were hooting and hollering, doing cart wheels, laughing, cheering, etc. when you read that hot fix. During your celebration, you failed to realize how the joke was on you. They fixed the problem, but the way they worded it, essentially you were told to get over it and grow up. This still cracks me up. Bungie, well played. Before you start responding, please keep in mind, I was completely indifferent towards the use of the cheese method (to each their own), but did agree with many that it needed to be fixed. Edited for clarification. New Edit: These keeps coming up, so I will state it here. Bungie did call it a glitch. They had to because of the position they are in. As a business you don't admit to the vocal customers that you allowed an exploit that made the boss super easy through. Bad marketing. The pushing is an exploit. A glitch is an exploit, but it is a more specific type. A glitch is an exploit that breaks the game. Examples are allowing you to clip through enemies indefinitely or gain unlimited ammo or invulnerability. The pushing method was clearly a creative way to exploit the enemy AI and terrain to ones advantage. Regardless, if one defines it as an exploit or glitch/bug it needed to be fixed.

 • Actually, no one complained about that- no one said that they needed to fix it. So, you made it up. So, you're an idiot. So, you can go away now. So, good try at a troll, but I bet you can do better.
