Kinda getting tired of everytime a team wipe happens I have to stare at my useless ship for 45 minutes (exaggeration) before being able to restart. I think itd be much less aggrivating if it just sends you to the start instead.
EDIT: By first checkpoint i mean restarting from the beginning without going to orbit to see a load screen

Yeah, I agree, sending us back to orbit is pointless. Sending us back to the very beginning of the strike would be much better.
-
I agree why go to orbit. Also maybe there should be a hardmode nightfall (hellfall?) Where you only get one chance. You wipe, that was your attempt for the week.
-
On hard mode Nightfall it switches your console off and unplugs your HDMI from the back of your TV.
-
I feel making you go back to orbit is the giest of the "Nightfall" feature of the game. Makes it much more of an impact to the team rather than just starting from beginning because you see that gameplay end page and no results so you all know just how much is at stake in the Nightfall.
-
not even a nerf to do that its just an annoyance to go back to orbit. Just send us back to the first checkpoint
-
On one hand its a pointless load One the other its makes the wipe that much more dreaded Keep the same. No easy mode
-
Get better. Stop with the nerfing.
-
getting returned to orbit makes it more rage worthy if you fail it a couple times, i find it hilarious
-
Just take it us back to the beginning not to orbit.
-
the point is to get better. the other strikes and missions already have that mechanic nightfall is different because it forces you to start ALL the way over if you read the description of the nightfall skull it explains why it is the nightfall its harder stop trying to get the game nerfed to your level seriously just play smart and get good
-
No then it wouldn't be different from a heroic strike.
-
-
I'd like that. That's a good idea.
-
How about if you die in the Nightfall your character ACTUALLY dies and you have to a start a whole new one?
-
I like it how it is. It makes you extremely cautious in your approach to avoid going back to orbit. Take it out and it's just like a darkness zone restart just from the beginning which isn't even a big deal..
-
We should leave it like it is. Restarting 5 times on the planet doesn't have the same "rage" impact as being sent to orbit.
-
I like the idea of not returning to orbit but still starting over. Doesn't make it any easier, just a touch more convenient. I'm all for it.
-
yet another post about how "things are too hard". The whole point of nightfall is to.....wait for it....NOT DIE. perhaps if you took your time and didn't try to rush through it you wouldn't have to return to orbit at all. I solo every single nightfall every week and don't die. whats your excuse with 3 people in your party? -§mort§-
-
I agree. If you look at it this way, Nightfall is basically the Iron Skull from Halo, and I don't remember being kicked to the mission select screen upon death. It just started over.
-
Lmao the sheer amount of stupidity in this thread is amazing. Anyone who thinks this post is about the difficulty of nightfall is a MORON. To OP: I do agree. Seems silly to have to go through multiple loading screens just for another attempt.
-
Nightfall raid?
-
Just don't suck nightfall is perfect.
-
Guys if you're going to comment, at least read the WHOLE POST.
-
If you can't beat the nightfalls the way they are now, then please quit this game. #filthycasual I mean come on, they are even easy to solo.
-
3rd option : Send everyone to orbit, disconnect them from server for a few days. Maybe that will encourage people to be careful and stay back.
-
Only chose the second option because loading screen are the bane of my existence.
