How to deal with Sunsinger Warlocks in pvp

Most of these methods come from personal experience either from playing as a sunsinger or fighting one in the crucible One of my best methods to fight fireborn
Fireborn: gives the ability to activate radiance from the grave doing so returns you to life
Sunsingers is, whenever you kill a sunsinger you should stand by their ghost with a shotgun or fusion rifle ready to fire. most fireborn warlocks won't want to resurrect because of the fear of losing the super but you may encounter a few who will think they will still be able to kill you but while they are doing their animation from resurrecting you just blast them away with your fusion rifle or shotgun depending on what you use. Some warlocks (such as myself) will enjoy activating radiance while in mid-battle for a advantage over my enemy. One of my best ways to defeat these warlocks is very simple. just keep your distance, move around a lot, and aim for the head there has been numerous times I have been killed by this method but most will say
but they have boosted shields/defense
that may be true however, from personal experience most Sunsingers won't have this ability they will either be using song of flame
song of flame: grants the ability to reduce cool downs for grenades/melee's to nearby allies
or Fireborn which was explained before but most of us sunsingers wont equip Radiant skin
Radiant skin: grants the ability to reduce all incoming attacks while radiance is active
because who doesn't want to come back from the dead and just be on fire and kill everyone
literally
. Grenades Now to deal with grenades are very easy in their own case
unless they have firebolt grenades then you're screwed soo good luck with that
Fusion grenades are very easy to dodge just by strafing or double jumping out of its way but be aware of its splash damage and when it tries to stick you because it will curve itself to land on you Solar grenades Most people when they hear solar grenade they think of mini-suns these are extremely easy to deal with since they have a short delay before they start actually chipping away at your health you can either get run away from that area or you can just double jump out of there but you have to be quick about it Firebolt grenades The only way that I know of to avoid firebolt grenades I believe would be to hide behind some cover or just take it like a man and possibly die from it but either way we both knew you were screwed the moment you saw that fire circle Melee attacks We all know that sunsingers have scorch
scorch: a melee attack that ignites enemies doing damage over time
but for the secondary perk they will have flame shield equipped since it seems to be the most useful in pvp. the easiest way around this is when battling a warlock in close quarters they will more than likely Melee you for the flame shield when this happens pull out your secondary whether it be a shotgun or fusion and just take out their shields and then Melee them When a warlock has solar wind equiped
solar wind: a melee attack that pushes back enemies a great distance forward from you
You should try avoid jumping and standing near ledges to prevent yourself from either getting hit to far back or getting killed by falling to your death Brimstone You will rarely encounter a warlock that uses this but when they do you're already dead so it won't matter anyway
ps try to stay clear of teammates because you will be mini bomb
Well that concludes this thread I hope this will help you in some kind of way good luck

 • This post actually taught me how to be a better sunsinger. I shall start using fire bolt grenades and brimstone.

 • didn't like sunsinger in pvp. i find void much more effective especially on control. nova bomb is very useful for clearing points... i started my lock sunsinger but switched to void around level 9.

 • I'll be honest, I didn't ready your post. This is simply a reply to your title. How to deal with Sunsingers. Step one: Shoot them. Step two: They die and you win.

 • Golden Gun is my person favorite. They full themselves with Solar light only to get a hole blasted in their chest from Solar light. Oh the sweet sails of irony.

 • I've always employed a much simpler strategy of shooting them in the face as soon as I see them. Seems to work.

 • Why would you use anything but Radiant Skin in PvP? The ally cooldown is pointless and self revive is pointless because you've already died and given the points to the enemy team. Only time I use Fireborn is when I forgot to switch it from PvE. Shotguns won't really help either. The only reason I run Sunsinger in PvP is to shut down shotgun rushers while still being able to carry a sniper rifle myself. Throw a Firebolt and then melee, if you time it right they'll both connect at the same time and you'll instantly kill them.

 • One cannot simply "deal with a sunsinger warlock." There are many ways to defy these methods. So many....
