They really need to fix some of the bugs in the encounter before they make it harder, at least for [b]hard mode.[/b] Such as:
-A player being detained and then teleported instantly killing them
-The minotaur in venus instantly regenerating to full health/shields upon switching to a new target while on the stairs
-Oracles having the death animation without actually dying (this is actually the most minor and easiest to avoid)
-people inside the relic shield being damaged by atheon or harpies, whether it is due to damage from rockets hitting the wall, or because they touch the person holding the relic, or whatever other reason, [b]THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED[/b]
-People being teleported and then detained (Far less serious because they don't instantly die and stay dead for the entire fight, but still enough to cause a wipe)
-People walking through the portal not getting teleported back to the main room (ie, you're on venus, walk through, and you're still on venus)
And, for the detain -> teleport and the teleport -> detain bugs, why do I get the feeling that randomizing the people who get teleported is going to make both of those FAR more common?
-Still need to go to orbit manually, no ending screen for the raid.
Once you fix all the real bugs in the fight, then feel free to fix the "bug" of it not teleporting random people each time. Please. This is coming from somebody who has spent many hours in that fight on the hard mode raid doing it legit.

I agree 100%. We died 63 times in VOG hard mode on gatekeeper because I was dumping 7 rockets from truth in his face and his health would go down, go down then.....jump back up to full shields 100% health. WTF? Seriously 63 wipes

Everyone is moving in the direction of "freedom to play how you want" and you guys can't handle our "exploits" because you don't like the way we do things. Every time I turn around it's "this isn't how we wanted people to experience Destiny", guess what Bungie? I don't give a flying -blam!- how you want me to experience it. You want us to buy your over priced DLC with an underwhelming amount of content (we've seen the leaks and it's not going to hold over well) yet you can't focus on the countless amount of issues that are affecting the success of your game. Do you read any of these threads? I've developed more patience playing this game than in my previous 22 years on this planet because I really want to see it succeed. I want it to be the game it can be, but you just keep screwing it up. Stop catering to the mass of pussies that want to nerf everything they can't beat into the ground. I promise you it's cause they suck, not because your gun is over power (Suros). Went on a tangent, my point was fix issues that affect the functionality of your game first than worry about which 3 players get teleported in your already ridiculously challenging raid. It's difficult enough to find 5 competent people to function together, no need to spice it up. TL;DR I'm just bitching, carry on.

I agree completely. I'm fine with changing who Atheon teleports, but fix the bigger issues with the Vault of Glass first, then worry about who Atheon is teleporting.

You can easily fix the portal bug yourself by not running through the portal. Just walk through it and it works all the time.

Agree 1009000% Bungie DO NOT implement the random teleport mechanics. Players like having a specific role and function. It's a team !! You don't switch the kicker and quarterback in the middle of a football game. And I'm sure Bungie offices do not switch your jobs in the middle of your shift. "Oh mr. Programmer you are doing great work now go downstairs and start running PR section of Bungie for the rest of the day". Nope !!!

I could not agree more. At the moment the Raid is hard for all the wrong reasons. Lag and glitches ,, I ask you to fix this first bungie before making the teleporting Random. For those of you that have completed the Raid without lag or glitches , good for you , but many haven't .

Don't forget about the sound bug that always happens during the Templar fight.

Need to fix the random -blam!- ups first. Especially teleporting to dimension x and then dying or killing team because you ended up in whereeversville!

Sometimes the "regenerating health" / "instant heal" is just a symptom of lag in your internet connection. You think you are shooting him and see his health bar go down, but when your console is synched with the server, (catches up a second later) your console discovers the target actually moved out of your line of fire and you were shooting a ghost.

Exactly, there are so many other major issues that need to be addressed before they start making changes to the encounters. I don't understand why they think that's a priority over bug fixes.
