Nerf Things
This thread used to be about pushing Aethon off, but it has become a cesspool of negative k/d ratios, ignorance, repetitive replies, and people who don't possess the ability or brain function to properly interpret stats.
I for one, am embarrassed to be associated with any of you through this game and forum.
Changed it to "Nerf Things" to discourage people from opening.

I am guilty, I have pushed him off two or three times on hard, BUT I have also beat him the normal way on hard mode as well, he isn't even tough to beat on hard mode, but when you get stuck with 5 idiots...

I pushed Templar for the first time on Monday, kinda nice since you get the bonus chest. Atheon is just too easy to kill the normal way so I've never bothered pushing him.

4 RepliesHate to burst your bubble but the Push fix hasnt stopped anyone from beating the raid. in fact People are still stomping all over Boos in hard mode still. Including a Group that dropped him in 17 secs with Exotic Launchers

I didn't think it was a big deal, a little annoying, but whatever. Until last night. I was helping lead a raid for the first time and it was going without a hitch until atheon. Once there however, only myself and one other person who organized the raid had NOT done the ATHEON PUSH (I don't even know which class I would use as a warlock to do or positioning, I should probably watch a video). In the end we figured out the fight to the "newcomers" after countless wipes due to supplicants... It took an hour longer, but it really did put a sense of fear into me about this upcoming hotfix to the fight. ALOT of people have not done it the "correct" way and with the randomness of the whole portal sequence? It's going to be annoying as someone who mostly pugs the raid.

Why do you care so much? I fight him the normal way every time, but I can honestly say I don't lose any sleep over people pushing him off the edge. It does not effect my gaming experience at all so I couldn't care less about what they do. Let them play how they wish, if they wanna push him off the edge and miss out on an epic boss fight, then let them. The only people I can think of that have an issue with this are assholes who think how they play is how everyone else has to play, or children who shouldn't be playing the game in the first place.

It's like saying weapons are OP in PVE. Makes you sound petty. And those crying about OP weapons in PVE.. "special" Like I got dropped as a baby special. Who's complainig about this? Is Atheon making a plea to bungie? are the vex threateniung to pull out of this game? It doesn't effect no one in PVE. PVP I'll understand. People care way to much about what others do in PVE. .....wait is that how that name got started? CARE BEAR. Wow.

11 RepliesI've done it four times. Completed it without doing it several more. Honestly it takes a lot longer to get the boss to fall off and execute it correctly than to kill him the "correct" way. It's just funny as hell to watch him fall off the edge not gunna lie.

3 RepliesJust because some of us have learned how to push Atheon off the edge and choose to use this technique over doing it the "correct" way, doesn't mean we aren't capable of completing hard mode the regular way.
