Why shouldn't I be able to pay 50 strange coins for a piece of armor that will level up to 30 light? Raid armor could have slightly better perks, and people could have the status of getting their gear from the Raid. But if I don't like the Raid and don't want to keep doing it, why can't there be another way to get to level 30?
Any thoughtful comments?

Well youre gonna really hate the DLC coming out considering its upping the level cap by adding a new raid thats level 28 on normal.

Why do you need to be 30?
-
Wait for the DLC. The only reason you need to get to 30 at the moment is to make the Raid Hard mode easier. Outside of the raid on Hard, 28 has you covered.

Lvl 30 is earned, I earned it that's why I'm 30. Keep it the way it is.

The raid is not about fun or loot its about to show off that You are better than the rest "raid-masterrace" or "vex masterrace" is a way for the unpriviledged to once in their life BE the special snowflake for a week or two., the dont want it hard, they want it "too hard for everyone Else" so that they can keep the snowflake as long as possible

It is to easy to get strange coins. And everyone will be 30

Why do you have to be level 30?

I think the real question is why would you want to hit 30 if you aren't interested in the raid. Hitting level 30 only helps with the hard raid, which you don't want to do anyway.

I prefer it the way it is. If there absolutely had to be currency to buy raid gear with, it should only drop in the raid. It should be 5 marks, per loot checkpoint, per difficulty and armor should cost the same amount of marks as vanguard/crucible armor currently does. No marks from chests.

Just be content with lvl 29

because its meant to be hard and 50 coins is too easy to get anyway. not too hard to just keep doing the raid. Play it and stop whining

Needs to happen, indeed
