So while I've noticed everyone has been helping Bungie improve the game through feedback pertaining to the game itself, I've been thinking of new ways Bungie might help expand its reach into the gaming world and customers' wallets. I've always thought that video game makers should expand and develop more than just video games, they should allow those video games, (cliche moment coming), to "come to life". Call of Duty has been making LEGO sets (I know, very manly) for various scenes and vehicles, Minecraft makes plushes and accessory sets for their games, and I'm sure Bungie could do something the same or even better, given this amazing video game world they've established.
On this first one I'm biased, because I love servitors. I don't know why, but I think they are a great creation. So I thought that Bungie could make a plush of Servitor, easy purple fluffy ball with some stitching and what not. Make a Sepiks one too why not? For those who bowl maybe a bowling servitor ball.
Secondly, Bungie should think deeply about making an alliance with both Lego and Nerf. One, LEGO could help make various Destiny play sets, and we've all seen what's possible with LEGO. Secondly, Nerf seems like the perfect platform on which Destiny could make a branch of weapons. Maybe start a "Guardian" edition of nerf and make rifles/guns based on real Destiny weapons. I mean, think of how intricately they could make those. Also, Bungie/NERF/stores could price guns differently based on their "rarity". Commons or Uncommons being the cheapest, and Exotics of course more expensive. Plus, regular nerf users who might not have seen the Destiny games would still appreciate the different and less childish paint jobs of the new Guardian series.
To add to the nerf segment Bungie needs to also realize that players/consumers alike enjoy authentic, licensed stuff, so why not make high end replicas, such as the ones we've seen of Thorn.
Lastly, if Bungie likes RNG so much, they could sell a "mystery box" or "engram" to customers. I've seen this on various sites, where you pay, let's say $15 for an unknown item. All you know is that what you recieve in the mail will be of equal or greater value. So Bungie could sell their already made jackets, shirts, buttons, and accessories but now customers could get a "chance" (and Bungie likes the word chance) to receive a better item, just like in Destiny. Thanks Master Rahool.
Oh, and a peeve of mine is that the real life "Ghost" is usually worth more than the game itself? Why not sell Ghosts with different paint schemes, at reasonable prices, and allow gamers to use those schemes from the Ghost they bought in game? My two cents.
So if you've got any ideas please comment cause I would love to hear more.
