Loosing faith in Destiny and Bungie? Watch this video.

NOTE: HUGE WALL OF TEXT
Become Legend. Destiny is a next generation first person shooter, with rich cinematic storytelling set in huge worlds to explore. Create and customise your Guardian. Defeat your enemies. Become Legend in intense cooperative, competitive, and innovative gameplay modes.
That is the official description of Destiny straight from the back of the games case. A lot of the community are deeply disappointed with Destiny as what we were told we were getting when we pre-orderd is actually quite different from the game that we actually received. However are you able to put everything aside and still support Bungie after all they have been through? Watching O Brave New World, released in 2011, may rebuild your trust in Bungie and Destiny. I too was really shocked at the quality of the game that came through my letter box with Bungie's logo stamped all over it.. As soon I got back from work I rushed upstairs to my bedroom, broke the Xbox seal on the case and shoved my copy of Destiny into the disc tray. As I gathered, Destiny needed to be installed onto my console so I had some dinner and milled around on the Forums. The music was awesome and was just like the clips that we had heard throughout the development, it was exciting and I just couldn't wait. As soon as it was installed I went straight to the Story Mode and watched with the intro with intent. After seeing the Fallen for the first time in game and knowing they were right behind me when you're first revived I was suddenly in a state franticly running to wall in the first mission hoping I wasn't going to be cut down. Once I made it to the wall with my ghost telling me that we were in the fallen territory I kept looking all around the wall corridors, listening to sounds and echoes, looking at the rich detail and amazing lighting. When I reached the main wall interior, which was dark and full of creepy and terrifying sounds, I was amazing at the sight of this huge and never ending wall once the lights were turned on. The colours, the graphics, the music, it was just awesome. Before I could admire the view properly I was rushed to pick up an old gun lying next to a box. I got it and headed for the next corridor. As I turned the next corner these reddish orange beams were blocking the path. I had to dodge and crawl past them whilst on the run. There I was with more enemies creeping out of gaps in the walls and dropping down from holes in the ceiling - it was fantastic and just how I imagined Destiny would be. Sadly though I began to realise after playing the game more and more that the first mission is actually the best mission in the game. It has so much power and emotion, so many surprises and so much graphical detail. If you go back and really study and compare the first section with the rest of the maps in the game you'll see what i'm talking about. I did find out after making another class however, that there are no Fallen chasing you at the start and that you can stand outside of the wall for ever without anything happening. For a while I was Happy with Destiny. It was okay, it kept me entertained and I was still unlocking new stuff for my character and still exploring these 'huge open worlds'. After a week I'd finished almost everything and was left feeling very frustrated with my £50 game. I just could not stop wondering where over much more than 4 years of Development went for this game? We were told time and time again that there would be; - Huge and new open worlds to explore All we get are copy and paste caves, buildings that most of which we can't explore much, big rocks/hills dotted around and long empty corridors to connect each small area up with. - An epic action adventure with rich cinematic storytelling where you unravel the mysteries of our universe and reclaim what we lost at the fall of our Golden Age. There is no story, we don't really learn a lot from the game on the disc and we certainly never solve any mysteries. It's just defend here, shoot that. - You are a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth, able to wield some of the Traveler's incredible power. What gets me more is the fact that we can't even explore any part of the last city considering that we're it's guardians. - You’ll need to push your wits and skills to their limits in order to survive battles in which victory is anything but assured. Really all you need is lot's of ammo. The only time i've ever used my wits and skills is in the Vault of Glass. Even then when using our wits around the map Bungie have said no, you can't do that and patched it. I am and have been a huge fan of Bungie and Destiny. I left the community for a while for certain reasons, one being this awful mess of a site update. I returned because I somehow was still in love with Bungie and Destiny. I really wanted the game to succeed and for it to become legend. Playing it and realising Bungie could have created something so much better really breaks my heart. Looking at how it took a small team at Bungie to create Halo 3: ODST a year to make and comparing it to Destiny is just mind-blowing. Okay so Destiny was built from scratch but how could it have taken over 4 years? Something went insanely wrong because this game does not feel like a Bungie game. I have yet to feel the passion and soul of Bungie in Destiny unlike in it's previous games. It feels like over half of the game was cut out of the main game, put aside and cut up further then re-branded as 'DLC' and 'Extra Content'. As I said in the title of this thread, if you're loosing faith in Destiny and Bungie then watch this video. I did today, I stayed up til 1am watching the video and typing up this thread. The video filled me confidence, trust and faith because we all know Bungie has gone through plenty of difficult times. They do listen to and love their huge and diverse community. I really really want these next 10 years to be a hell of a ride, and as with most rides we always start at the bottom and work our way up to the top. I'm not going to judge anymore. I'm not going insult Bungie, hurl abuse or tear up the forums. I'm going to sit here and give my support to my favourite game creator and give them a chance. I've had my say, to which i'm sure will be buried away under the hundreds of other threads being posting in the Destiny forum everyday. I'm going to end and just ask everyone to watch, or listen to the video i've posted because it may just changed your attitude or opinion on either Bungie or Destiny.
