Legendary bug maybe?
So I had a titan that I could not log in to from the 25th or so of Sept. When they moved the centipede bug around and added in the zebra error, a day or two later I was able to log in. I found one legendary engram the next day but after that point I have not seen a single legendary drop. I play around 8-12 hours a day since I have been on disability this whole time. So thats about 2 weeks, say a low average of 9 hours a day...thas 126 hours of killing enemies and besides the one in the first say 10 or so hours...I have not seen one legendary engram. Either this is a bug, you guys really messed up the drop tables.

4 RepliesYeah, they are very hard to come by. I know they changed it so the cryptarch would no longer decipher them as a rare but in all honesty any legendary engrams I've happened to stumble by usually decipher as upgrade materials. They should increase the chance of getting legendary drops, just imagine there are exotic engrams you can get to. Doubt I'll ever see one unless I purchase it from Xur! Hope you start to enjoy the game without any errors or disconnects =)

They didn't mess up the drop tables, they changed the way legendary engrams work. Before, a legendary engram would drop more commonly but would often decode into a rare item. Now legendary engrams always decode into at least a legendary item... Therefore the drop rate was reduced to keep the overall reward of legendary items from engrams balanced. This is the system the masses wanted...

I can only speak to my experience on this to you as a fellow player. I have only been rewarded about 3 legendary engrams for 164+ hours of play and a grimoire of 2065. The drops where refreshing to get, but I know they are very elusive......as they are designed to be. I get most legendary gear from ranking up the various faction to level 3 and for special events. Good luck on getting the drops! By the way, sorry to hear about your log in issues.

Might I add, up until the zebra change I found legendaries on a fairly regular basis...at least one every 2 days or so...
