What if there was open-world PvP? Similar to how you can change the difficulty of a mission from easy to hard, what if you could change your patrol to a PvE or PvP exploration. This way, while out gathering materials you also have the option to just kill other guardians in world PvP. This idea also offers the element of choice on whether or not you want to play in PvE or PvP. Since the lobbies already match-make in level appropriate areas, this could also be treated as Iron Banner in the way that level advantages are enabled. If a guardian disliked the idea of mixing PvE with PvP, there would always be PvE patrols still readily available, which would be what has already been implemented into the game.
