(Nearly) Immortal Level 8 Vandal

There I was doing my thing around the Forgotten shore. A patrol here, a loot chest there. just having a good time, right? So I make my way to the back canyon wall, you know the one where the yellow Vandal and Shank spawn. Now I had killed two iterations of them already and I was kind of impressed at how fast they were respawning. I wasn't going very far before I would get a blip on my radar, but this time it was special. This time He was special. I started with a few rounds to the head. Enough to stagger him I thought. When he barely flinched I new something was up. I turned to the shank and it goes down like Mario on level 1-2. I turn my attention back to this "Mo-Powa" Vandal and keep firing. Fractions of the amount of damage were being done. He had no over-shield. This was turning into a bout of pure unadulterated brute force, melee was barely making a dent. So I pullout good old invective and put a little buckshot in him. Still hardly anything. Grenade? He laughed at the axton bolts tracking him. Rockets? This guy takes two (one was a near miss). Nova bomb? "HA" I heard him say. It was only after all these combinations that I whittle him down enough for a final head shot. What was so special about him? While my guns may not be upgraded 100%, they are still legendary and I had no problem taking down his Brethren. I know I may not be the best shot but a lot of these were crits. It's as if my gun suddenly was nerfed. Has anyone shared a similar experience? Let me know if I'm the only one to have faced this super powered Vandal? Sorry the video is on my Facebook. Didn't know how to upload it to Youtube.

  • He's just one of those guys. You usually run into these guys; low level enemies with major health rating, and I mean major (Above average health amount) during those prevent the target from escaping Public Events, or even during the end portions of the Warsat events.

I once ran into a dreg that I punched in the face about 30 times to no effect. He responded by stabbing me, as dregs are wont to do, then hid behind a rock.
