To Bungie: You need to do a better job at explaining the reasoning behind changes

People don't like it when you just say "we are changing this" and don't offer any explanation as to why. When you are "nerfing" something they are using, it isn't very likely that a gamer is just going to trust that you are making the right decision. I have offered some examples of how communication could be better below. The reasoning I am making is based off of assumptions only, I don't actually know the "why" behind the decisions being made. Iron Banner I think when introducing the IB it would have been helpful to include a video showing exactly how gear and weapons made a difference. What about showing a level 15 player in normal crucible attacking a player, then showing the same player with same gear attacking a player again so that people could have seen the disadvantage the low player had. Hotfix 1.0.2.2 I've just taken a few things out of this hotfix and applied some explanation that could have been helpful. Again I am not sure if this is true or not, these are just assumptions Auto Rifles Base Damage decreased by 2% Reduced Precision Damage multiplier from 1.50 -> 1.25 (head shot bonus) Stability decreased by 4% - 17% (driven by stat value) The Auto Rifle was too effective at longer ranges, often times outclassing Scout Rifles. This change brings Auto Rifles more in line with their intent of being a close to medium range weapon. Vex Mythoclast Base Damage decreased by 34% Increased Precision Damage multiplier from 1.25 -> 1.50 (headshot bonus) This is a big change, but one we believe is necessary. As discussed in the [September 24th Dev Notes=http://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Dev-Notes/en/News/News?aid=12188 Exotic weapons are designed to look, feel, and sound overpowered but not break the game. Also, our goal when balancing Destiny is to never have one player choice-- for example a choice of class or weapon-- either be so much better than the alternatives that it is the only valid choice or to be so much worse that it would always be a mistake to choose. The Vex Mythoclast was so powerful that it was clearly better than any other alternative for a primary weapon. We believe with this change the Vex Mythoclast is now a viable option, as opposed to the only option.
