Traveler and the vex
Anyone notice that the planets the traveler terraforms (mercury, Venus, and mars) are all places that vex have a presence on? Why did the traveler skip earth initially? He only came to earth AFTER he skipped it from Venus to mars, this raises a lot of questions such as: if the vex are the worst enemy of the traveler and light, why did they wait billions of years to activate again? Why did they wait hundreds of years after the appearance of the traveler to attack?

I've stopped questioning the story and lore. Bungie did a piss poor job on the story for me to even care anymore.
