What's the story behind your first exotic?
My first exotic was Thorn, it was my first exotic bounty too. I remember the excitement/frustration that I went through, from the void points in the Crucible to the harder version of The Summoning Pits.

First exotic was red death from xur, about 10 seconds later I got bad juju.

buying my first exotic engram because i didnt have enough coins. was a chest engram and was wanting the crest for my hunter. hoping it wouldnt be lucky raspberry even though i wanted both i didnt have enough motes. i got the crest and was stoked

First week. Gjallahorn. I was still too new to know how good it was and was still trying to level up other stuff so I stuck it in my vault for a few weeks. Once I got it upgraded and used it a few times I was pretty impressed. lol

I had Ice Breaker within the first couple weeks of Destiny's release. Man was I rolling in the mail asking "where did you get that beauty?" Anyone who ran a strike with me would stay for the next one (and the next one) because the bosses would be down in minutes.

Finished this crucible match and got No Land Beyond as a random drop, used it and got really sad.

I wanted an Exotic Hand Cannon badly. Cayde, recognizing the beautiful destruction I could bring offered me a Bounty. "It won't be easy, Hunter. And the last guy who owned it got a bit... Dark." But I wouldn't be dissuaded, Thorn was in my sights.

I was level 20 and I found my first legendary engram for helmet and ended up getting helm of inmost light

2nd Day when the game got out i got the last word in the crucible when i was on bottom rank :D

Had enough Motes of Light and took a change and bought the exotic engram (which was a chest piece at the time). Took it and had it decoded and lucked out and was able to use it for my Titan

Me (hunter) and a buddy(titan) had just gotten enough motes for an exotic helmet finally after being out of town for the first 2 xurs. Anyways we bought them and decided to go to the cryptarch and see what we got at the same time I got third man he got a lock helmet. That rage quit from him was even better when I got my exotic and he didnt

I was lvl 27, I got invited to a raid. After killing the templar we went for the chests and from one of those chests, I found my dream sniper: Patience and time We then became BFFs forever

My friend killed a shank on venus and it dropped a legendary and i got thunderlord before the patch [spoiler]woo[/spoiler]

Edited by A K: 11/27/2014 6:45:23 AMAchlyophage Symbiote from Xur ...at that time i was lvl26 and 6 coins short, on Saturday evening. i asked a guy in the Tower whether he would help me through the Weekly Heroic on lvl26 to get them coins and his answer was "we need 3rd to do this". i was pretty disappointed tbh. ...then as my gf and i were having dinner, i mentioned this and she said "why don't you just go for it?", she saw me play before and she said i could do it, or at least give it a go. so once we finished the dinner i started destiny and launched the Weekly right away...it was the Earth strike that week ...about two hours later and almost completely out of ammo since i died so many times at the Sepiks fight i was walking (yes, WALKING, veeeeery slowly) towards Xur location in the tower to buy the Symbiote i believe this will be my best Destiny moment ))) PS - to all the Xur-haters: please tell me now, how exactly did i NOT earn the helmet? :P

Lvl 29 and only have the lucky raspberry I bought from Xur because RNGesus hates me

Got knucklehead as a reward (from a purple), I was a warlock at the time. In fact, I think all of my hunter exotic helmets were acquired as a warlock. Then recently as hunter, I got another knucklehead from an exotic engram (xur) that had better stats than the first one.

The story is that I took a green fusion rifle to the sepiks prime nightfall like 6 weeks ago or whatever it was and literally killed all the fallen in that first room over and over because I was only level 26 anf would die right after thatt. Probably did it for a span of an hr and a half

Truth! Got it from a heavy weapon legendary engram. Can't recall where it dropped but it was my first legendary engram. Still have it, fully maxed, still love it. Shoved it yesterday in this weeks nightfall into Phogots fat ass and he cried for his mom each time i pulled the trigger.
