So far Bungie has attempted to make 6v6 competitive with its Iron Banner release, and we're soon going to see the 3v3 Trials of Osiris. This leaves FFA as the only playstyle without a more rewarding output. In order to fix that, I suggest adding FFA wager matches for a weekend. Under my proposed system, it will cost a player a single legendary item (armor or weapon) to join up in a match. In a standard 6 person FFA match the gear breakdown will be as follows: * 1st place: 2 New Pieces + Wagered Piece * 2nd place: 1 New Piece + Wagered Piece * 3rd place: Wagered Piece * 4th-6th place: Lost piece This will be a great way for players to utilize any gear awarded to them for the wrong class, while providing an extremely rewarding competitive outlet. Obviously players should not be able to join in progress and fireteam max size must be set to 1. Leaving the match will result in a 6th place finish and a loss of gear. This would be a great place for higher level players to play competitive FFA. As someone who has no interest in PvE and only cheeses strikes/atheon to get better gear for the crucible, this would be exactly the outlet I'm looking for to take some of that hard earned gear off PvE player hands. For players under level 20, there could be an option to wager something else, such as materials or motes of light so it's open to more people. Even if this type of match does not interest you, please recognize that other people may enjoy it. This game doesn't need to cater any more to PvE players than it already does, and it's time that the people who are good at Crucible are rewarded. PS. Please let the next Titan subclass be good for FFA. Defender, while the best team PvP subclass, sucks to use in FFA and Striker is just terrible for everything outside of cheesing atheon off the edge.
