Anyone Else Considering Leaving Destiny?
So I am a level 29 Warlock. I have played the raid a few times as well as the rest of the game. I can’t seem to find a good reason to stick around? In my opinion the Crucible is just bad. What I mean by bad is the maps are boring, there are VERY few play modes, and anyone at any level can kill anyone else. Don’t get me wrong I understand why they did that but there could be one mode that was full level/gear/skill based for the other players. That being said it’s clear to see I am more of a PVE player. I enjoy playing the missions but it seems there is lack of content. Unless there is some huge content change in the first expansion I can’t see myself playing this game anymore. It’s honestly amazing to me that Bungie missed so many things that could have made this game great. I won’t go into detail as it won’t matter I am sure everyone in this forum has ideas that could improve the game and I am 100% sure Bungie won’t listen to them as the game and “Most of the expansions” are already made. Bungie already got paid, so why would they? The patches have been focused on balancing gear for mostly PVP and they have not implemented any actual improvement to the game itself.
Just thought I would ask the question. I could be the only one who thinks this.

I have no desire to invest time in Destiny learning it's fine points if the dev's are not even gonna support the esports community. I'm not salty and I understand mlg and bungie's past in the fans eyes has been rocky though in reality the 2 did work together and no complaints from either side professionally. However the reality is this game should cater to everyone. Stats for pvp and pve should be similar but held in such different regard when fighting a fellow guardian vs a normal enemy. So, as a dev you have the ability to support your community but with bungie their idea of support is their poor excuse for a community manager named Deej whom instead of explaining reasoning bungie has simply gives vague answers, tells us they are working on it and listening but years and years go by and you listen to whatever thread you see get spammed in the forum. I think if any topic gets 100 separate threads it gets brought up for nerf during Deej's little sit downs with the dev's. I never had a vex, not my style and didn't get the opportunity. I played against it multiple times and if 1 person has it every couple games I'll deal. Bungie missed a huge opportunity to explain away the nerf by claiming the Atheon cheesers ruined it but they didn't even try and cover it up. Only an idiot would argue the hardest gun to get in the game shouldn't be MORE powerful than most. We can argue how much more powerful later but more powerful I think is a given. Halo mcc comes with halo 5 beta which comes with more pvp content than destiny. Which hurts my brain, my dxck, it makes me poo and puke at the same time. Literally just makes me sick.

Its only been out 6 weeks and its tedious and boring. So like many others Im off soon to put my time into Advanced Warfare. ( ok , flame away, say don't let the door bang on way out) at least I have the spine to say this in front of so many Bungie fanboys.

No reason to do it anymore. I used to be like super happy on reset day... I haven't even done the raid yet and it's Friday lol. Warlock and titan are both boring to me, and the story missions are so damn boring I can't even make it past lvl 8.. Even crucible is starting to bore me.. and I'm good at it. I don't hate the game... I WANTED it to be amazing and still do... The amount of content is just pitiful and just has nothing to keep pulling me back in. The balance in halo is what kept pulling me back to that.. sure everybody started out with the same weapon and the power weapons had to be fought for.. but that's what was fun about it. Skill mattered. If you were more skilled than somebody, you would beat them in a firefight 99% of the time. This game it's not the case... Even with a 2.5 KDR I feel the same way. Anybody can come around the corner and 1 shot me with the 900 ways to 1 shot people in this game. Nothing to do once your 30 and have the weapon you don't plan on replacing, and I don't really get the whole "collecting" exotics thing. I don't get the satisfaction of having a bunch of exotics that are garbage and that I'll never use.. just so I can look at them in my vault? I've dismantled most exotics I've gotten honestly. And crucible is so imbalanced it's hard to play on a serious and competitive level.

Going to need more content (and lots of it) to keep me interested. Some sort of solid core, not just little activities in the same environments with invisible walls that have no relation to anything. I've played this more than any other game in years though, I'll give it that. I hope they're not stingy with the new content with the future DLCs. I also hope that the social/"seamless multiplayer" aspect will become a reality instead of a lie. I hope for more NEW content, better interaction and social mechanics, some sort of dynamic core. If they are stingy, I'm done and Bungie's name will not mean much to me anymore.

2 RepliesOh I raged after wasting an hour on a daily story mission hard mode, only to get a blue engram for a level 16 piece of armor. This has happened countless times for me, and the only times I get legendaries, they're for other classes. So yeah, I sold the game and deleted my character :P

2 RepliesRNG is killing this game imo. I hope they change it to where you have to work for your exotics outside of the random bounties. That way we can actually grind for certain guns that we desire.

I still am enjoying the weekly and daily challenges and want to do a nightfall strike, but finding a team has been hard for me. I wish they would add some variety to public events and bounties also. Just doing the strike list is getting really repetitive.

Once I max out my warlock, I'll probably take a break and play some other games until new content shows up.

I purchased the digital copy with the first 2 DLCs so I'm in at least for them. After that if my concerns are not addressed I'll move on. I'm disappointed in Destiny but I feel I got my money out of it.

No, but these silly PvE changes are making it harder for me to stay and support the game. Even harder for others than myself. I cant play the game if im the only one left playing, withstanding the bad changes they are making.

Back to 360 for halo 3. Still enjoy destiny, but will only be back to do the reset. Then It's back to business.

2 RepliesI dont care about the lack of content that much, Crucible could be better but I do get my share of fun from time to time. What does piss me off majorly however is....RN mother-blam!-in Gesus. Pve scrubs enter crucible for the first time, go 1 kill and 29 deaths, obviously end up on last place but somehow get rewarded an exotic on an exoticly -blam!-in silverry platter. Similarly to that, I do raid 4 an half time. I get same loot twice in a row. Shitty atheons rifle which is now nerfed to the ground and the derpy chatterwhite. Not a single raid piece. We decide to carry a lvl 24, dude gets 2 raid pieces in one run. Dafuq is this shit?

I won't ever stop playing, but it's not the game I come home and play for hours like at release. Weekly, nightfall, raid, hard raid. Xur have anything I want? If Yes. Maybe alternate characters weekly. No and I'm playing some Diablo or BF4. I probably do have quite a few hours, but that was when I played Destiny A LOT. It hasn't lasted as long for me because I play A LOT. I know calm down just what one man does. If you love it and still play it a lot good for you.

yes because there's nothing left to do. I want 12v12+ multiplayer, not small ass maps in which you turn in circles like a tard and play against only 6 players aka CoD. PVP is something that could keep me busy for a long time but when i play this 6v6 crap i feel like playing a game on the original Xbox. Where are the next gen game modes in this game? Patrol can't handle more than 6 players on scree, tower can't handle more than 16 (which btw is pathetic because there's zero special effects going on in the tower), crucible cap is 6v6, raid is only 6 and strikes a laughable 3 players. So next gen.
