With the new companion update i can no longer equip gear in the companion app. I would like to see more of this option not less. The ability to upgrade gear, turn in engrams, select / deselect bounties in app would be great and mean we wouldnt have to visit the tower when we log on. (Iphone5, not the latest ios update though)
