Why is your Class the hardest to play? (explain rationally, be civil)

Almost every reply to this thread that comes from a player with only a single class will almost certainly state their class requires the most skill to use. Unless you want accuracy and potentially an actual conversation, either everyone must be civil and open-minded, or we need players who have played every class equally as much. Allow me to begin, this will be a long one as I've put a lot of time into my Titan and have strong opinions about the balance of this game. I am going to qualify that in the PvE environment it doesn't matter all that much. If you want to revive yourself go with the Warlock, if you want a Halo 3 style Bubble shield go with Titan. If you want a bigger gun for 3 shots, or want to fly like Peter Pan go with the hunter. In the Cooperative environment it really doesn't matter as long as in the end (for raids really, strikes its still doesn't make much of a difference) you have a good team composition. However for PvP the class requiring the most skill definitely the Titan, no matter how much anybody moans it is statistically demonstrated that Titans inherited the short end of the balance stick. Broken down by subclass strengths and weaknesses I'll go through each subclasses Super, Melee, and grenades, as those are what mainly distinguish the classes from each other, especially in the Crucible where all other stats are essentially normalized. Striker For the amount of grief Titans get for the Fist of Havoc, it is not that exceptional. In comparison to the Warlock Void Bomb, it has about the same blast radius except you have to be at melee range to use it (unless you sacrifice a lingering AoE power, for Death from Above which requires a lot of height to move a substantial distance while putting yourself in harms way) The biggest gripe with the FoH is the perk Unstoppable, which essentially makes the user invincible while performing the move, but doing this sacrifices potentially the greatest ability the striker has in it's arsenal, the Shoulder charge. The idea that Titans are the only class that can "panic super" is garbage, every class in destiny has a certain animation they must go through while performing a super in which you can be killed, and I've killed many titans mid-leap (not too difficult if you see them doing a suicide charge). The melee of Titans is purported to be it's greatest asset, however it too is nothing to write home about. The Striker melee "Storm Fist" will take a player down to very low health if they have full shields. If they have taken damage they will die, otherwise it is not a one-hit-kill (if you disagree, please prove me wrong in video, otherwise I have reason to believe you could have taken damage before getting punched). Where the striker melee shines is with its shoulder charge. After sprinting for about 30 yards, they build up momentum to unleash a one-hit lunge attack. This is the most powerful ability of the striker by far, of course during your sprint you are essentially defenseless and if there is more than one enemy you will die. Grenades for strikers are terribly tricky to use, and only really useful in Control matches (which is really the only arena the Titan succeeds) The Flash Bang is almost entirely useless, opponents screens go white for maybe 3 seconds which gives almost no time to close a gap and get a kill, I might have died once or twice total while affected by Flash Bangs because they are that useless. The pulse grenade does abysmal amounts of damage, but are pretty easy to use and may reap a kill or two to players that aren't paying any attention. The Lightning grenade is where the lethality lies, but they are finicky to use because you have to find a vertical surface to attach them to in order to hit an opponent twice for the kill. The striker is the only Subclass lacking a single hit kill grenadeexcept perhaps the Voidwalker however their grenades are less tricky to use, especially contrasting the lightning grenade which requires exceptional skill to even get the first hit on an enemy to the Axion bolt that homes and seeks enemies dealing the same damage as a Lightning hit. The Hunter has the trip mine and arcbolt grenade. The Warlock have the fusion grenade.Defenders even have the magnetic grenade. Defender The poster child for the Tank class that appears in most MMO's this class ends up being everything but in the crucible. With a lackluster Super ability, and a punch so puny you'd wonder why Bungie keeps talking about the Titan as a brute the Defender is statistically ranked the lowest in the Crucible. The Ward of Dawn, or as everybody else calls it the Bubble Shield, is the worst super in the game. It can be countered immediately by every other super except for Arc Blade and Radiance, however both of those still have a good chance of shutting down the Defender after deploying the shield. Any super used outside the bubble will crack it, and they can just as easily be used inside the bubble to kill the unfortunate soul trapped within. Nova bomb with the AoE buff Shatter can break the bubble and essentially insta-kill the occupants. Given that a defender is on a dedicated team, the buffs provided can be used to their potential, however each other super can be used just as effectively with or without the need for great teamwork. The melee ability Disintergrate is also a let down in PvP. When compared to the Warlocks Flame Shield, which is the same thing except requires only a hit instead of a kill, it is far harder to get your Force Shield and the abilities are bad for PvP. Grenades again aren't great apart from magnetic grenade, which is basically just another sticky grenade. The suppression grenade is good if you just don't like trying, and the spike grenade is incredibly situational. TL;DR I say it's Titan, these are my reasons. If you disagree, explain in way that might convince people. If you directly dispute my claims provide evidence or link a video. Inb4 Flame War Inb4 You Suck, I'm the greatest ever Inb4 Git gud Inb4 OP can't Inb4

 • PvP is a tough one, so let me focus on why I think my Hunter is harder to play and the other two classes in PvE. In relation to Warlocks the answer here is simple. Hunters only have one life. They can't self resurrect like a Warlock can. That ability alone sets them apart. I've seen no end of Warlocks die a number of times during HM VoG, only to burst back into the fight without breaking their stride. I on the other hand cannot afford that error, and have to stay on my toes. As for Titans, once again, they have invaluable survivability in PvE. If things get tough, if they're overwhelmed or taking heavy damage, they can throw up a bubble and gather themselves. I as a Hunter have to either avoid these situations all together, or battle through them without aid. Now onto PvP. The lines are somewhat blurred here and I don't think there is a great deal of difference in the classes, but let me go over some of the things I wish I had. The Titan one-shot shoulder tackle. I've been taken out no end of times by a Titan one-shot in melee. As a Hunter I usually have to take them out in two, or a shot and a melee. Melee combat is very twitchy, and having the ability to one-shot people in close combat would be nice. I envy you Titans that at least. Lastly, we have to be more tactical about when and where we pop our Super. If we see a group of players, we have to consider if they will kill us mid Super, before we even get a chance to take anyone out, and if any of them have an LMG or rocket launcher. Not to mention having to be prepared to be countered by another Super before we've had chance to do diddly squat. On another note; if I see a Hunter running as me in Arc form, I have to crap my pants, run away or attempt to take them out with whatever weapon I have. Titans and Warlocks can panic Super and take him/her out. Just my thoughts. I love my Hunter though and wouldn't change it.
