Where have the legendary drops gone?
Before the loot cave went viral, I was able to receive at least one legendary drop every third mission or so it seemed. Now, since that patch that supposedly fixed the drop system, I have yet to find a legendary anything. Let alone anything exotic. Most of my kills are crits and I rarely die while placing everything on the hardest difficulty depending upon my character level. I'm just curious if anyone else is having the same problem or if it's just me.
Comment with some tips, tricks or let me know I'm not the only one with this problem.

yeah the so-called "fix" broke everything. In terms of drops, i dont get anything. I have received more green drops then anything. Why is that vl 16 greens drop while i'm doing a NIGHTFALL....lvl 16's can't even go into a nightfall. Since the patch i have received a FEW blue drops, that turned into nothing i could use, so what, at least i can use the engrams to up my cryptach level. But even after increasing my level i get a LEGENDARY package with 2 blue engrams.....why??? THen ill get 1 mote of ligh and a strange coin. the hole drop system REALLY makes no sense at all.

They lowered the drop rate of legendary engrams but since I got lvl 30 yesterday I have gotten 3

I have also experienced this. Before the patch I got at least one a day. I always got at least one for upgrading my cryptarch. Post patch in the past 2 weeks I've seen 2 or 3. One as a drop and one as a reward for strike playlist and one from the cryptarch. It seems to me that bungie has misled us. We all assumed that the legendary drop rate would stay the same post patch and bungie never said otherwise. However it seems to me that before the patch legendary drops were more frequent before but had a very low chance of actually providing a legendary. Now that the legendary engrams are guaranteed to yield legendary gear there frequency of being found in the game had been reduced. I'd say that really things haven't changed at all before more frequent but not guaranteed, now guaranteed but much less frequent. Either way the amount of gear u end up with is probably the same.

Edited by SS TON3R 420: 10/16/2014 6:47:06 PMLegendarys are extremely rare mission rewards now. Not a single one has dropped in two weeks for me or any of the 40ish members of my clan. By dropped I mean by an enemy. I got ONE at the end of a random strike.

I definitely have this problem as well and my suspicion is that they nerfed the drop rate to counteract the promise of legendaries. I've gotten four since the patch and they've either been heavies that turn into Ascendants or Class Items for a Titan when I play Hunter
