As things are, pvp in Destiny is noting more than 'arena' style combat. Our whole planet has been reduced to one city and who do we spend our time fighting....each other!....really, that's the best you could come up with????? Go back to the drawing board. Let players make 'enemy' chars' that can only be used in pvp, let them make a Vex or a Fallen or a Cabal or even a Hive char' to fight other players who will spawn in with their Guardians. Let them fight for control, let them slaughter each other in team death matches, give them bases to defend and capture..... You could even link some public events to pvp. Say for example the Hive are winning more matches in pvp, this could Trigger Hive invasion forces on Earth in public events, (like it says they are planning in the story). Something like this would help players feel like pvp & pve are actually the same game, that both actually matter.
